    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my Hub Asleep at the Wheel - The Consequences of Driving While Tired. What can I do to improve? Thanks!

This hub has been featured for more than a year. Suddenly I get an email saying "heads up. Your hub has the opportunity to become featured...bla bla......and then going on that it is not featured possibly due to spammy elements or doesn't meet quality standards etc.

Ok, so I removed a couple of links under the images and an Amazon ad capsule, but received the same message again, and it was recommended I post it here for comment.
Much appreciated if anyone can check it out and give tips for getting it featured (again).

It's showing in your list of featured hubs so whatever you have done has worked.

That's weird Sheila, because on my Accounts page it has a full white circle meaning not featured due to quality.

Bizarre.  I can acess it from your list, and read it  ads and all.  Maybe you're seeing a cached version of your page.

I just went through your hub and noticed one irrelevant image in it which is about "studying abroad". It has no meaning with your topic.
And, none of your images have any sub-title to clarify what is the connection between your topic with those images.
I think, these might be some reasons for not featuring it.
The Home News part may also be one of the causes.

Thanks for your input Venkat, that image about studying abroad is only to make that whole section appear that it is a page of a newspaper with headlines and advertisements etc..not for any other purpose. I will try taking your advice and putting captions under the other images, though they relate directly to the text on the left of and near  them.

That will be fine. I hope to see it featured and have another read after that.
Regarding the hub appearing in your profile, I think your default might be to show all hubs on your profiles, either featured or unfeatured. Otherwise, it should be some grace time allowed or a glitch.

            Hi John,

Yes, if you have it clicked under your default to show all of your hubs whether featured or not, then they will all show up.  That feature is under your account, so when you publish a new hub, it will show up right away whether featured or not.  I do that too.  That is why the other hubber is seeing it on your list of hubs as featured.

I will check it out and see what may possibly be an issue.

Remove the Amazon capsule.   It's not sufficiently related to the topic of the Hub.

I can't think of any Amazon products that would relate to the topic of the Hub, I'm afraid.  in fact when it comes to poetry, it's rare to be able to find any products that work.

Why did you decide on "Asleep at the Wheel" as the title?  How many people do you think type "Asleep at the Wheel" into Google and what are they looking for?  I'd have thought something like "Falling Asleep at the Wheel"  would work better?

Ok good point Marissa. I'll change the title. Thanks.

I did change the title and found an Amazon product directly related, would you believe? Now to see if that makes a difference.

Hi Jodah. This hub carries a very important message and needs to be featured.

      Here are my suggestions:

      - Try changing the title to a more search friendly one, such as: Dangers of driving when tired - Asleep at the wheel

      - Make all capsules wide width

      - Drop the "No Doz" ad (In my opinion that encourages a driver to keep going while tired and also promotes an addiction to the pill)

      - A much needed rest stop and a 20 minute power nap may seem like a delay, but it can save time in the long run and possibly save a life

Hope these few suggestions will help you.

Yes, I agree with all of Phyllis' suggestions here.  Very good.

Thank you both Phyllis and Faith for the great suggestions. I did change the title, added some text and resubmitted the hub. Good news is that has been featured again, now with a score of 86 and two red up arrows for increase in traffic. I will still work on it more as you suggested and add some remedies to prevent drowsiness and probably get rid of the No Doz ad, change the pics etc. thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

It's now my highest ranking hub at 89..and it's basically a POETRY hub. Go figure.

Congrats! It just goes to show that "dressing up" a poetry Hub is worthwhile.

By the way, I think you are doing the right thing by showing unFeatured Hubs on your profile.  That way, your followers can still see them.

    Hi John,

I agree with all of Phyllis' suggestions as they are very good.  I just reread your hub and the only thing I saw right away are your images at the first of your hub that may not be legal, and it may be very easy to find some good ones on Pixabay which has thousands and all you have to write is "Pixabay"?

Other than, that maybe including some remedies to prevent one from falling asleep at the wheel or being fatigued while driving, possibly.

I see this everyday, sadly, as I have my hour commute to and from the big city during the week, and I see far too often 18-wheelers crossing the lines due to fatigue and far too many fatal accidents.
