    Hi Hubbers,

Could anyone help me with this Hub, as I have had many attempts to get it featured, I have no idea what is wrong. Looks like I will be deleting, very unhappy about this National Parents Day - 24th July 2016. What can I do to improve? Thanks!

I would suggest saying where this day originates from, how many people actually celebrate it, and why they should.  Perhaps clearly mark quotes from the original statement in the 90s and them elaborate on how that applies to your own life and what you do on this day.

    Hi Elsie
I had not heard of  National Parent's Day before so thanks for enlightening me.

I think perhaps I'm being picky here but I noticed a few typos:
    1. In the first para: to let them how much they are loved (the word know is missing)
    2. Great grand children having a meal together after a day spend to gether. (photo caption) - 'spent' perhaps and no gap in together.
    3. I found this difficult to read: One of the reasons for National Parent Day is a day, put aside and make plans for you and your family, to spend a day with your parents (your children's grandparents) as it is so easy, these days to get on with your busy family life and not find the time to spend with your parents.
    4. (Talking about cooking) their selves safely (I would probably say themselves...safely)

Do you know what counties celebrate this National Day? Perhaps you could do some research.

Just my penny worth. Good luck.

    Cheers, Lyn

Thanks Lyn for commenting, you are not picky, typos I will certainly look at I have run this over and over again in Grammarly, these mistakes are not being picked up, will try to add more information as the other lady said also.
I have had four emails now about this hub still being spammy, I just cannot find what is the problem, have one amazon at the end, if not featured today, I will delete it.

All the best to you, hope you have a wonderful 2016.

        Thanks Elsie...Happy 2016 to you.
I wonder if you should check out any links that may be causing a problem.  Also I had thought about the ideas part - perhaps list as bullet points or something.
        Best of luck, Lyn

I would say the Amazon capsule would be considered spammy.

The rule now is that the product in your Amazon capsule must be related to the subject of your Hub.  That book is not related to National Parents' Day.

Other issues - I think you meant to put a Poll capsule in the middle of the Hub, but instead you put a Comments capsule, and it looks very strange!   Also I felt the Hub was a bit unfocussed - instead of talking about National Parents' Day, it was more about being a parent in general.  The photos were nice but again, they were not about people celebrating the Day, they were about being a parent.

Thanks for commenting, I have removed the amazon product, will have a look at the poll, it's funny you bringing that up as it has been in that article since 2012,
Happy new year to you and thanks for all the help you have given me in the last sixteen months since Squidoo closed down.
