Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my Hub What The Media Doesn't Understand About Millennials. What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Is it because it's too opinionated?
I doubt it. I have no idea though as it is no longer published.
Well, that's pretty inconvenient when I'm trying to get help lol.
If you're still interested in giving it a look over the link should be active now. I really appreciate it.
Hi Matt, welcome to HubPages.☺ I have joined here recently too. Nice to meet you! Do not worry, it is okay to have unfeatured hubs. Trust me I have gone through this too. Just keep trying. ☺ I have read your hub and I feel you could make these changes:
1. To be honest, I didn't quite understand your title. Just make sure your title conveys what you are trying to say in your hub.
2. As it breaks you a greeted with this wonderful crutch called humor. (Correction: As it breaks, you are greeted with this wonderful crutch called humor.)
3. Instead we were meet with skyrocketing tuition costs, and student debt to last a lifetime. (Correction: Instead we were met with skyrocketing tuition costs, and student debt to last a lifetime.)
4. I feel you can write some parts under bullets or numbers.
Break your text under appropriate sub headings, include images and videos which will help beautify your hub.
5. This is not required:
Tl;dr (What does this mean?)
Ignorance is no longer bliss because it no longer exists.
A gorilla has become a god.
We are a demoralized bunch.
You're late.
Your opinions are good and genuine. I agree with you, on this. Just rearrange it properly and you are good to go. Break the text under appropriate sub headings, it doesn't look easily scannable to me. Add quality images, a poll (it engages readers) and appropriate videos.
For more information, please read the FAQ, mentioned in the link below:

Good luck! ☺
Thank you for taking the time to read it and write this out!
You are welcome! I love helping people. ☺
Good luck!
It's a personal piece, yes. Would probably do better on your own blog. Think of Hubpages as a magazine site - articles are supposed to be informative and useful.
You might get it through if you add some decent relevant legal-to-use images.
Move the poll to the bottom. Why would you put one at the beginning?
The first paragraph is pointless. 'Surpass' means to 'do better than', so it is the wrong word in any case.
What do you mean by 'freighted'? Freight is goods being transported.
Put your text through an online grammar checker.
The article isn't written to the title. Have you actually answered the question you posed? What doesn't the media understand about millenials exactly? Examples of how the media misunderstands?
I'm not quite sure what Harambe has got to do with the media and millenials? I'm trying to make the connection, but I can't. The video, therefore, is out of context and irrelevant to your title. Remember that an article must be written to its title.
Example: "Yes, I did just compare a dead gorilla to a god. Go ahead, stop reading. What the media doesn’t understand about millennials is that we are a demoralized bunch. We were promised the world by our parents, our schools, and anyone in authority."
That's what is called a non-sequitur. The third and fourth sentences do not follow on from the first two. They are completely unconnected.
Re-read your piece with a critical eye. Does it come over as a whinge? Could you make it into a powerful piece of writing giving both sides of the argument?
You have it in you to be a good writer... see what you can do with this piece. Make it better.
Great criticism. You're right about not answering the question in the title. I personally used it as a starting point to write the piece but I never got there. I now generalized it as a result. Thank you for writing this out. I'll probably come here first before I post anything else to hit all the check marks off!
Just keep honing your writing. HubPages is a great place to try things out.
I'd be willing to bet the problem is the video, since it's entitled "D!cks out".
HubPages relies for its income on Adsense. If they ever lost their Adsense account, they'd have to close down. Adsense has some fairly 19th century rules about not using naughty words or nekkid pictures - and if a website gets caught using them, Adsense is likely to delete their account and ban them for life. That has happened to other sites, so HubPages is understandably vigilant (not to say paranoid) about ensuring none of us does anything to upset Adsense. That video title might do it, so that's why it's not allowed
I enjoyed the article and there's no reason why you shouldn't keep it on HubPages. Remove that video and it will probably get approved.
The only thing I'd say is, it depends why you're here. If you want to make money from your writing, then that style of article won't do it. To make money from articles online, you need to write on subjects people are actively searching for, usually to answer a question or solve a problem they've got. You've certainly got the writing ability to do that, it's just a question of whether it's something you want to do.
I did come back and read it. tl; read it anyway.
As theraggededge pointed out, it is kind of a blog post and not suited to hubpages. where the articles that succeed are magazine-style articles. If you wrote this article as "How to Understand Millenials" and describe how you think Millenials are different than other generations, I think it would have a lot more value.
If you do decide to rewrite it, you need to follow the HP rules to get this to pass QAP. Your article can be divided up into sections with clear headings (Humor, Education, The Media, etc) to make it easy to go through, use at least 3 related photos, and if you use a video or table make sure they are worth reading and looking at.
Good luck.
So, what I REALLY want to know, is are Millenials lazy?

I wrote a little hub about Ganymede, the seventh moon of Jupiter, just lately. I also included the Greek legend of Ganymede...there is more than a little hint of homosexuality in this legend.I got quite a few emails from the Christian contingent, though no direct comments on the hub...

I have a hard time reaching above 75 points on my QAP assessment. I have no idea what else to do. I made sure my text is correct, stylized and broken into digestible chunks, bold only on important phrases, headings, sub-headings and other formatting techniques used. Since I had a lot of images, I...
