should your bio and profile be centered around one topic

   All the articles I have are currently featured, one is actually on the Pethelpful currently, so I submitted another to be placed on a niche site and the feedback was I should change my profile and bio info to be more about animal care before it is moved, which if I only kept writing content about animals, I could definitely see that point, but I choose to write about various topics so I don't want to limit my profile to be a background on just one subject I like to cover.  I've only written twice about animals but I've also written about personal experiences, and entertainment pieces like book, television, and video game reviews so if anything my profile should be more about being my experience with that.
   
   Anyway, I was just wondering everyone's thoughts. I made my bio info when I first joined the site and wasn't sure exactly what all I would be writing about. What do you advise?

      Seems to me that your profile bio is used almost exclusively by hubbers wanting to know who you are.  Google traffic that reads your hub isn't going to end up there but very rarely.  Given that, it would seem that your profile bio should be well rounded, explaining who and what you are.
      
      The little blurb on each hub, however, should most definitely be about what makes you qualified to write on the subject.  A completely different matter.

         I'm not sure if you're missing the point?   You can have up to 25 bio's.   If one of your Hubs is moved to the niche sites, HubPages wants you to tailor your bio's specifically to the niche site.

   I agree with Wilderness.   Your profile is for other Hubbers, mainly. 
   
   If you go back and read the email again, I'm pretty sure it asks you to create a bio (which is the little blurb on the Hub) for that niche, and doesn't mention your profile?

   JynBranton, Another thing that I think you may be misunderstanding is that you can create up to 25 different bios. Then you assign them to the individual hubs. Therefore you can have a specific bio for each subject you write about—one that mentions why you’re qualified to write about that subject, as wilderness was pointing out.
   
   Go to the “About the Author” tab to maintain all your bios.

      Oh ok. I wasn't aware that it allowed you to do so many. I never changed bio before to go with a certain article and always have used the same one. I'm glad I asked you guys!

         I try to think of one generic one. I have a main niche, but I don't think people realize I write about other things too. So far it's been working. I change it now and then.

            If your Hubs are being accepted for other niche sites, you'll find HubPages will insist on you writing more specific bios for those sites.  You can have up to 25, so it does make sense to make the most of that facility.

               I suppose I have to. I wrote about 20 articles on Greek Myth. I always liked psychology, and was really into Myth and archetypes when I wrote them. The administration keeps putting them on Exemplore, when they are serious studies about these archetypes, which although were ancient, we still find in society. I read about four books to research these. I believe they should be moved to History-Humanites. There isn't anything paranormal about them, and they required me to study something I never had time to do.
               
               I can change the bios, but have had numerous disagreements about where my astrology hubs belong too, which took months to fix. Most are OK on Exemplore, but I make characters and fictional situations for many of them, and finally got those on Letterpile-creative writing. Those always were labeled as fictional stories in the summary, but I know that's different than the bios. Since we write in and always get a different person, then often a new one comes in at the middle of the negotiation before the original issue is resolved. It's getting so tiresome.
