Exercise is a great start. Also make sure you are getting enough protein and carbs to keep you going. It may seem difficult, but look online and find out how to track your Macros. They aren't just for weight loss or bulking. It helps to know what you body needs nutritionally to keep it running properly, and it may seem daunting at first, but it's not that bad once you get the hang of it. Do you take a multivitamin? If not, do a little research and find which one is best for you.
Exercise in general is good, but I had to click on this question because I just started doing a workout called t-tapp which is relatively easy to get started with and has really increased my energy levels already in just a week. I recommend it!
sleeping too much also puts you relaxing zone. Make a time table of your day to day life. Exercise daily to keep you fit both mentally and healthy.
I used to have this problem. It turns out that my electrolytes were off. Getting exercise and drinking PEDIALITE and GATORADE tend to set them in balance. Also taking calcium and magnesium.

B12 and Iodine lows make us tired. Look these things up and see if this could be part of the problem.
Try the Silva Mind Control method. You count backwards to 100 as you are about to get out of bed. Then after you reach 1, you tell yourself that you will count to 5 and at thecount of 5 you'll be wide awake, in perfect health, feeling better than before.At count of 3, reiterate the affirmation and when eyes open on count of 5, reiterate again. Although this is training to prepare you to realise your dreams by visualising goals attained in this alpha state before waking, this exercise I find is fantastic to wake you up totally and completely and make you feel energetic throughout the day. ,
1. Try to eat foods with fiber.
2. Drink a lot more water.
3. If you spend most of your day sitting, get up and walk around for a few minutes.
It could also be medical. I know I had the same problem years ago and I found out I had a under acting thyroid. You should see your physical and get tested. It's easily curable with a pill you take in the morning
Exercise and a proper diet can be helpful, but also talk with your physician to make sure there is nothing that may be causing this tiredness. Also drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated.
As a healthcare professional I must advise you to consult your physician. There are many causes for midday tiredness but if you find yourself slumped over and ready for a nap a few hours after waking it may be a sign of under active metabolism. Numerous health conditions could cause under active metabolism so it is best to seek out professional healthcare for proper diagnosis.
Sometimes I have days like that. Tired and have no energy. If you are Diabetic, or have a form of a infection or early stages of cancer, maybe you should make a doctors visit, and have your blood checked. Snacking on wrong combination of 'foods' can make you feel tired, too. I stay away from energy drinks, because they don't agree with my system. You can't loose, with drinking good clear, water. Find out from your eating habits what foods you best, 'tolerate' or see a Nutrition Specialist, maybe they can give you a few tips, that maybe helpful. Try and exercise a little every day. I have Divertigo, and can't go outside very long alone. I exercise inside the apartment. Easy ones, I can do comfortably and can quit when I want. And I follow Tai Chi. Men have interesting ways or exercise routines to keep themselves ..'fit and alert'. I don't go any more, but I enjoyed visiting: 24/7 FITNESS a complete Gym with a swimming pool, too. They differ from location to location. Maybe you would like visiting one near you.!
Get onto those Metamucil type products to clean out the bad cholesterol.
It sounds like you have cholesterol in you system.
I was struggling with this several years ago and I went to the doctor. She asked me "do you have allergies?" I said yes. She said "fatigue is one of the symptoms of seasonal allergies."
What a load off! I get enough sleep, enough exercise, eat right, and I'm a pretty upbeat person. I couldn't think of any reason for me to be tired. When she told me about allergies and fatigue, I immediately felt better because seasonal allergies are treatable and survivable (most of the time).
I immediately started taking medication for my allergies, and while I still struggle with them sometimes, at least I have peace of mind that it isn't anything serious or fatal.
If you still feel tired during the day even with enough sleep, you might be dehydrated. Drink a glass of water after you wake up and at least 8 glasses of water the entire day. Also, plenty of sleep is not really advisable unless your ill. Stick to the common 8-hours sleep. Recommended pattern of sleep is 4-1-4. Four hours straight full sleep. Wake up for an hour and sleep again for another 4 hours.
You are lacking some thing in your diet, could be caused by an infection, or environmental.
