Is It true that your hub score falls a few numbers- two, three points - whenever you edit your hub?
Not necessarily, hub score is determined by the traffic you get on your hub, the more traffic you'll get the more your hub score will rise.
I think it's possible that everything on here determines your rating, there have been days I had over a hundred views, and my score dropped, and there have been days when I was rated at 100 and only had a few views.... I think it's part of the beautiful hubpages mystery....
By 'your hub score falls' are you referring to the score of a hub or the score of the hubber?
Either way though, I don't think editing your hub would necessarily affect your hub score or your hubber score.
Hub scores and even hubber scores change all the time. One day your hub score may be high and the next it may be low. Same for your hubber score.

I frequently edit after posting the hub, and haven't noticed any drops.
However I have noticed that if I leave the hub unpublished while editing, the score tends to drop a bit.
I don't think so, this would be ridiculous.
In this case I would not correct my mistakes/typos, because instead of helping me this would spoil my many efforts that I've put into my hubs.
I have gone back to tweak several of my hubs - mostly to improve the SEO aspect -- and have only gotten positive results from doing so. No, I don't think you get penalized for minor editing.
I'm pretty new hubber but I like to think it's the reverse. When you edit it's usually to make it better, seo or otherwise. It ought to help improve the hubscore.
That should not be the case at all. As a matter of fact, I have seen my unpublished scores increase as time passes before I publish it. Just stick to quality, add pictures if you can, and a decent amount of words.
The score of each Hub I edit and update raises a few points, sometimes immediately and sometimes within a few hours.
I'm new here and wondering the same thing. I've read that editing and tweaking are encouraged. And I've seen increases most of the time for fixing mistakes, etc.
On the other hand, a few times when I've felt I increased quality, I've had drops in score that haven't recovered yet.
1. My favorite hub dropped after editing from a score over ninety and has never come back from about 86. But it did receive an Editor's Choice award, which I'm happy about, as I'm happy with the piece (http://hubpages.com/hub/Wakiki-Family-Travel-Tips) though I may have decreased quality by over-thinking editing, having been within my first few days.
2. I made what I thought were improvements to two hubs yesterday that I had previously improved upon. Yesterday's edits dropped them both to 76 (almost a ten point drop for http://rockymountainmom.hubpages.com/hu … -Love-Bats). The other that dropped a lot and suprised me was http://rockymountainmom.hubpages.com/hu … -Blunders.
I'll be focused on quality over points, and am trying not to over-think it too much. But in at least most of these cases, it's been useful feedback that has pointed me to needed changes. My most recent hub was published with room for improvement and increased in points when I made my initial needed adjustments.
This is leading to the type of practice I was hoping this site would provide, so I'm a bit confused but overall quite pleased.

I've been on here for a few years, and I guess I never really understood the point of these scores. They don't seem to provide any real value to the user and I can't convince myself that they add value because they fluctuate so much. What's the point? Am I supposed to use these scores to tell me...

I took a hiatus for awhile from Hub Pages! However, in the past week or so, I have added new hubs participated in forums, asked a question or two, participated with the Hub Hopper, have read some Hubs, yet my Hubber Score is lower than it was when I was doing nothing. I don't get it!

For a good number of weeks my hubber score has hovered around the 100 mark. Two days ago it started falling, and as I write this, it is down to 89! If this keeps up, it will be 0 in a week! No rhyme or reason to it, but it leaves me wondering why this is happening. I know...

My Hub "People Almost Met: Lily at the Pool" recently had a hub score of 100 and stayed at the level for about two weeks. Now it is in the 60's. It has lots of comments and about average views (for my hubs). Anyone know what I can do about this?

My hub that seems most popular with over 52,000 reads is at the bottom of my hubs with a 69 and it has been 70's so I sharpened it up some just to have it fall. How can this be? I hate to delete it but I think that is what many would do who cannot get a hub to rise in score. Actually I had over 100...

Since HP decided to kick our articles back to Discover, for some inexplicable reason, my Hubber score has plummeted. It is still kind of hanging in there on this account because I still have articles on niche sites, but on my other accounts it has dropped into the 60s. Prior to the move, it was in...
