If I decided to go to New York on a train, I would buy a ticket and get on the train. The choice became mine. The train didn't send me there, it only took me to where I asked to go.
I think that is the same with God. We make the choice and he allows it. He made a way to let us choose "not to go", but in the end the choice is ours, not God's. It is much like when our children become adults and make choices that break our hearts if they make destructive choices. There is nothing you can do, however if they do. We can try and persuade, teach, beg even, but in the end free will wins out. God gave us free will and he won't dishonor that even if it means we are headed for eternal separation.
I completely agree with bayareagreatthing.
God does not send you to hell, He has given you the power of free will, therefore you choose your ticket to hell all by yourself.
if god is all knowing & all powerful, then it means he allows people to be born knowing they will go to hell. or is god only partly omniscient and omnipotent?
the god i dont believe in would never be so malicious

Some beleive in God and that we will go to Heaven or Hell when we die.....One thing is for sure we wont know if its true til it happens ,so enjoy life to the full , and when you get to wherever you go when you eventually cease to live on this earth , pop back to haunt us all and let us know so that we can make provision for our final and ultimate journey !!
not to worry. no one gets sent to hell when they die. you just die and that's it.
Hell No!
Why would God who loves us unconditionally do that?

How does free will and the concept of pre-destination coexist?

Why should anyone go to hell? It's not our fault as human beings. We are all in the same boat called HELPLESS. What we do in life, on this planet, is a totally different matter altogether but finally it's not our fault.

Are evil people really born this way or just suffering from some kind of emotional trauma causing...them to behave in this way?

If God loves those only who love Him, what better is He than the sinner? (Luke 6:32-33)Because if He made a hell for sinners, He obviously has no love for them.

How can we call God merciful if hell is real?It has been estimated that there have been about 160 billion people who have lived and died from Adam until the present. It has also been estimated that only about 5 billion of these people have been believers in Jesus Christ. If God starts out with 160...
