   What is that thing?  LOL.  I have 2 pekingese dogs and a great dane lab.  They are all cool dogs.  The pekingese are more relaxed and lazy while the great dane lab is hyper.  Both have good personalities.

   That's the one!!  lol--That is the ugliest thing ever!  The type of dog depends on your taste.  Training is the biggest aspect to think about.  You don't want to deal with accidents or having your furniture destroyed.  A newlywed couple probably wants to spend more time on their relationship rather than doggie messes.  Find a good trainer or get a dog that has already been house trained.  I guess if you both have a lot of patience and want to do a project together you can try it yourselves but it will take commitment from both of you...just like your marriage!

   There's no answer for this because everyone who adopts a dog should always consider what their needs are and what dog will fit their lifestyle rather than "ooh let's just get a ______."
   
   For example, an active couple who is looking for a small breed dog (say, they live in an apartment and can't have a dog over 20 many pounds). This couple might not do well with a pug, which is a breed known to be a couch potato. Instead, they might do better with a high energy breed that loves going for walks or going out with the couple and doing hiking or other activities. For that particular couple, a Parson Russell Terrier might be a good choice because it is a high energy, small dog that meets their life requirements.
   
   You really can't just pick a dog based off the dog breed, you have to pick a dog that is going to fit your needs. My husband and I have a sheltie and we take her everywhere: morning 2 mile runs, hikes along the Lake Michigan beach, boating, she even comes with me on Friday and herds cats (and plays with them) at the shelter I volunteer at. She fits our lifestyle (we don't have kids yet), and we chose her knowing that her breed is a higher energy breed who wants to go out and do things and not just sit inside on the couch all day.
