   Yes, I do........
   
   Learned from the knees of Grandmothers who reared their families during the Great Depression, and who could feed a large family from almost nothing.
   
   Through my years of traveling, I have learned 'secrets' from cooks from Tennesee, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Lousiana, Texas, Arizona, New England...............
   
   A "good" cook does not compete, she learns..............
   
   
   Yes, give me a piece of any meat, some garlic, onion, potatoes and I will feed you well!
   
   In my later years, cooking and feeding would become my 'profession'.

   Once, I cooked a meal for some neighborhood men who had helped my hubby with some " building a driveway" chore,  in a casual converation, I said that I was interested in going to " Culinary school".........in unison 2 of the 3 men, said, " you don't need to, you got it already"..............such a compliment.  It carries me on today, many years later.
   
   I am not a singer, a muscian, a poet, a great writer, a doctor.........etc.......but I am one good cook~  It ain't braggin if you can do it!

   I have always considered myself an ''alright cook'' I like to have friends to our home for dinner ..friends often prefer to visit us to eat rather than go to a restaraunt (given the choice !) so maybe I have grown over the years into a ''Good cook ''
   I like to experiment with food after initially following a recipe I will adapt it ,add flavours ,sustitute ingredients to ones I think may enhance the dish ..always using my long suffering hubby as a guinea pig before subjecting anyone else to it in case its not worked !!
   At Christmas our son and family prefer to have Lunch with us rather than the  In Laws because I do better roast potatoes and the turkey is never tough !! I consider that a compliment  so I suppose I can answer the original question by saying ....
   
   YES IM A GOOD COOK .

   Mother started me cooking while I was pretty young to keep an eye on me. 
   From everything I am told I am a very good cook.  I like to experiment a lot, and sometimes they don't work out.  I almost always catch these and go to plan b though .

   Cooking is awesome and you need it everyday and well I cook everyday. Moreover I worked as a Chef in Australia and I sell my Food on the Markets in Buenos Aires. As far as I can say the people like my Pizzas and Empanadas. So I would say that I am a pretty good cook.

    When I'm in the right mood, I think I am. Otherwise I'm probably just competent. I'm better at baking than regular cooking, so the answer also depends on whether I'm baking bread for fun or, ugh, making The Dinner I've Made A Thousand Times, for the 1001st time.

    Yes, I do. My husband does as well. It's funny. Years ago, I went out to eat all the time and did not much care for cooking.
    
    Since going through a six-month period of chemo when I couldn't taste much of what I ate, I now revel in cooking and savoring every bite.
    
    FYI - I am a breast cancer survivor and cancer-free. Woo hoo!

    Yes, i use to held b-day party celebrations for my kids with 20 to 30 guest and the feedback is great.
    I can say with a taste if what i cook is good or not considering the ingredients and nutrients in it.

    Yes. I too learned from my mother and grandmother, but also developed my own style along the way. I watch cooking shows whenever I can and love the fresh, new ideas I gather from them. My husband is also a good cook and we're passionate about trying new recipes and creating our own on weekends. We're extremely food oriented and we have a blast!
