I feel uncomfortable when suddenly a stranger approaches me. But if the fellow is attractive,  I manifest myself to appear cool and try to peep inside the eyes to convey what really I thought of this person, "Who...w.h..o are y..oouuuuuuu?" Increasing my concentration more on the fellow while i complete my sentence.

Run away. He might be a robber... Or a participant in a reality show. In either case, I run!

I would say Hello, and probably talk to them.

I choose only smile, as I'm not good at talk with strangers.

Well, like Wayne Brown says, it depends due to certain factors that can be put into motion in this kind of situation. Being just, I would simply greet him\her with a smile and a kindly hello\greetings\gutentag etc. back. This would be a fair thing to do. I do not love people based on looks.

I love people because they say hello.

Probably just look shocked and stare. Then I'd try to say something intelligent ; )

If the some one person say "hello " to other, it is a good idea to ask the unknown person anything, but the other person should behave in the same way. just ok, not to answered in a deeply. So you need not not to say anything except its ok or fine etc.

reply with a "hello" of my own, most likely in a somewhat puzzled tone as I try to scan my brain if i know them or if i had ever met them through a friend.  If they are a completely unknown person, figure out why they decided to strike up a conversation and hopefully have an enjoyable talk.
