   If ones sins have been washed away...then why do they still have sin in their life.
   
   It is to my understanding that Christ died to show us the way out of sin,that sin can be Processed out of our life,and not that it don't exist any more.OTHERWISE,HOW CAN YOU WASH SOMETHING AWAY,AND IT STILL BE THERE?

   One must find it inside to forgive yourself. Not forgiving oneself that which has been forgiven, is in fact, denying the power of the spirit, a sin. Accepting that sacrifice in your favor, believing wholeheartedly that that has been forgiven, without even a shadow of doubt, you affirm belief. Once one comes to a point that  all such sin is left behind, when adherrance to the law becomes more than 2nd nature, then you are released from the law.

   Blood of Jesus Christ  made the atonement for sin of all of humanity. This is the narrow path that human beings must travel on for eternal life. Now for the application of taking sin out of our own individual life is through the power of the Holy Spirit given to convict of sin and the power to drive it out of your personal life by yielding 100% to GOD in every area of your life. It takes a lifetime of overcoming sin in our daily life on the earth in our fleshly human body. We do have the victory with our will and the power of the Holy Spirit to stop practicing sin in our daily life on the earth. Glory to GOD.

   Having been raised in a very conservative, Biblical home, followed by years at a Bible college education, I feel qualified to say:
   
   The entire theory of having one's sins (so easily) "washed away" by professing a belief in Jesus Christ as one's personal savior is the Christians' way of saying, "Okay, I've f*#ked up -- I want to start over, want to forget that I used to be a jerk/idiot/adulterer/abuser/tax evader/you-name-the-offense sinner AND go on being respected as a good person".  Save me Jesus!  Help me "save" my reputation as a moral person!  You died on the cross for ME, so now I'm callin' in my chips earned by professing my belief in you.
   
   This theory for Christians absolves them of responsibility for past injustices committed on their part.  It's a quick fix, a moral repositioning, a call to themselves/victims/the great spirit for forgiveness.  And, it's a whole lot cheaper than therapy...
   
   It reminds me of children saying "oops, sorry.  I didn't MEAN to burn down the house/kill you by driving drunk/tell you I hate you/steal money from your wallet/flunk out of school/hit you/etc.  We're all just children, thinking that we can act our worst and still be forgiven, the offense forgotten, the lives ruined understanding that you didn't really mean it....
   
   Where has moral, personal, self responsibility gone?

   We are human and are born with sin in us. Even if we ask God to take our sins away, we will still commit sins. We will lie, cheat, and think horrid thoughts. We will still break the ten commandments every day. That way we need to ask for forgiveness every day.

   From my understanding, and what I have learned... A relationship thru Jesus with God is a life long journey. While I follow the 10 commandments the best I can, I still make mistakes. The difference is, I am aware of when I make them and try not to in the future. I don't always honor my parents, but I am working on it every day. I sometimes tell "white" lies, but when I can, I catch myself and stop, and if I do, I ask for forgiveness is Jesus' name. I am also, not quite sure if I honor the Sabath day (Saturday) as God wants. I don't work, however, I often find that I go to the store and this causes others to work. Those are the 3 I have problems with. All other commandments I can keep. I found that as I grow closer to God I learn how to control my flesh more and more. No one walking this earth is perfect, sinless or as Jesus was. This, I believe, God understands... But through Christ, all things are possible so we much continue to better our lives for the sake of God and all that is Holy.

   It Is the penalty of sin we're relieved of once we repent. We still have sin in our lives because we're human. God allows us the freedom to make our own decisions and sometimes that means we make the wrong ones. It's up to us to develop our relationship with God so that we don't continue in our mistakes. The holy spirit was sent for exactly this purpose; to help us in our goal of living our lives without sin.

   I have pondered my inadequate behavior many times, I can only say that sin is not to be taken as lightly as I had in the past when I thought that Jesus' death on the Cross was just a nice thing for Him to do.

   Satan always brings new temptations, he is after souls and that is what he does and some backslide to never come back and then there is no more forgiveness to have trampled the Son of God underfoot as if what He did for you was an unholy thing, I believe you can find that in Thes; somewhere, probably other places too. That always seemed to affect me as if there is more meaning there I want to understand. Perhaps this is the unforgivable sin?

    But they can't because they don't know it to be true.....
    
    
    For only hearing cannot make you believe it knowing it to be Truth..then  it become a reality to you...
    
    That knowing can only come from Christ....who is Truth within.. not outwards words whether spoken or written

    True, Jesus Christ died to save us from our sins so we can go to Heaven, but we still have a sin nature, the old flesh.  If we accept Him as the only way to Heaven, He washes away our sins and helps us to live free of sin.  We all sin, even Christians, but we can ask for forgiveness and it is always given.  It is not  that once you are saved you are perfect and sin free.  You just have asked for forgiveness and try to live worthy of Him(which we can never be worthy of Him.)  I hope this answers your question.  I hope you understand.  If not, ask, and I will do my best to answer according the the Word of God.

    Christ died to show us the way out of the condemnation of sin.  Everybody now alive is in sense dying due to sin. The apostle says:
    
          “Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” (Rom. 5:12)
    
    Yes sins we inherited from Adam has been washed away but still Jesus washes away the condemnation, but not the future course of that individual.  He, or she still has to face death, by enduring to the end, (of his, or her life) He dies because of the sin that is in him, but his death acquits him of the acts of sin he has committed.  No need to worry about a judgment for his past sins, they have been washed away, or blotted out.
    
    See (Romans 6:7) He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.

    The nation of Israel had to give multiple offerings and sacrifices to cover their sins.  The death of Christ made is so that his blood would cover all of our sins...in other words, we didn't have to go out and do what they did by giving multiple offerings and animal sacrifices.  However, according to Romans 6:23, because we were born into sin, the wages sin pays is death.  So as long as you're living, you're going to be a sinful person.  You may not engage in sin deliberately, but you are still sinful because you're imperfect.  Christ sacrifice made it so that our sins do not condemn us to eternal damnation, but have the chance of everlasting life.
