Safest place in the USA?
When the global oligarchs start world war three by using the US to attack Iran, where will be the safest place in the US to be to not get killed by Russian or Chinese nuclear weapons?
I'm going to have to say Alaska. I can't see a country thinking taking Alaska is a great tactical advantage and a game changing event.
Safest American place with a nuclear war? I don't think there is a place. Maybe Alaska as it is not part of the mainland and would be likely to spread over Canada instead of the US. You did not ask about people who live in Canada, but we are just next door and will be affected. Here in Canada, there would be no safe place because we are in between US and Russia. With China...not sure.
I don’t think such a place will exist. To me, it would have to be underground in the hills of way out in the sticks land. And I do mean way out as in no public electricity, water so on and so forth. When I say underground I mean 30 feet or so and preferably surrounded by lead. The Bible says run to the hills. I would trust to the book.
Several have mentioned Alaska and they may be right. My main concern about it is the poor chances of surviving Alaska winters with no heat source. It seems only logical to me to assume power will be a serious problem. Fire wood only lasts so long and there may be few trees left or even if they exist it may be dangerous to move about to access them in the event of a nuclear war.
I would speculate that the west coast would be where ground troops would land, which for China would be cheaper than a nuclear strike. No point in destroying your ground troops with radiation. Probably the strike will be in the midwest, around St Louis, to take out communications and the electrical grid. I see no point in a war in which land is not controlled after the fighting is over, so California is the safest place to live. Funny how only rich people can afford to live there.
None I guess! What about the moon? We pretended we conquered it in spite of its dangerous rays
Just stick your head in the sand - I heard it works. Not sure about anything else if nukes start dropping ...
When World War III starts, there won't be any safe place with nuclear bombs that can destroy the entire planet.
We should live in peace and accepting each other rather than creating destruction for the mother earth.
I just pray for the day to come where everyone will be at peace and love each other in doing good for our neighboring countries.
Fort Knox?
I don't know, but people always refer to Fort Knox as a hard place to get in to.
Based on my years of experience playing the "Axis&Allies" and "Risk" board games in the '80s, I'd suggest Madagascar.
Great question - thank you for the opportunity.
We are our own worst enemies. Treating others with respect, understanding they are human just like us is what will prevent WWIII. The global oligarchs have the power to manipulate us IF we allow them to manipulate us. Read and learn and ask for understanding. If we understand our humanity, we can save ourselves.
Under your bed!
I wonder what everyone else in the rest of the world ( outside the USA) will do?
Does anyone care or are we just saving Americans?
I'm more worried about the US governments action against it's own people more then Russia or China.
Been around too long to think it's going to go nuclear.
It's going to be the boys in DC that are going to be attacking you.
No place is safe in the US from the government .
Would never have said this 40 years ago - times. they are a' changing.
Cheers
I think I'd prefer to be right at ground zero, no more problems. Barring that somewhere in the mountains. Many mountain ranges effect the weather so there will be areas that are protected. Then you can die slowly while the radiation and fallout get you
The safest place might be on your knees, praying to God for guidance.
Next suggestion, Big Bend National Park, though I liked it better in the 50's. Just don't forget your fishing pole.
Currently, I'm out of the States. The Philippines is nice.
Little will it matter to survive a " foregien military attack " just to be shot by your spouse, teacher, child, or the gunned down in your house of worship, at the bus stop, or as you are putting your purchases into your road tested auto.
Wake up, roll the dice, take your chances, and if you are so inclined..........pray as you go along your way.
There is NO safe place.
It has become key........to not live in fear, but to live anyway.

With Irans new revelations that they have a secret site for the nuclear capabilities is this the latest step in the path to a nuclear war?

I lived through the fear of nuclear war between the old Soviet Union and America. I remember practicing what to do in elementary school in case of an attack. I remember the television commercials advertising bomb shelters. I remember the Missile Crisis. And now, Vladimir Putin...
