   To never give up. Even if the end result might look bleak and hopeless, never give in.

   The one most valuable lesson my parents taught me was "once you put your mind into something, to never give up, until you accomplish your goal!"
   
   Closely followed by "never say I can't...say I will try" "If at first you don't succeed, try, try, again," and "All good things come to those who wait."

   Stand up for what is right
   
   Live by the Golden Rule

   My parents taught me how to work. I always had chores as a child, and have never been without a job.I worked both summers while I was in high school and learned the value of self reliance.  Even when my children were young, I held a part-time job. My father taught me by his example. He worked very hard to provide for our family.

    i must say that it is hard to choose one but, if I had to I would have to pick, "treat others in the way you would want them to treat you" and if they don't treat you like the way you want to be treated then don't be around them.

    My mother taught us to be financial/budget geniuses...always on our toes, alert to scams and fraud.....protect our investments and interests.  Squeeze the penny till Abe hollers "Uncle."
    My Dad was a wealth of life lessons.....especially about being kind and fair ...tolerant and helpful.    My sis and I were blessed with wonderful, loving & wise parents.

    There were many things so choosing one is tough, I would have to say that Treating everyone with respect was the most valuable.

    The one most valuable lesson my parents taught me, and probably explains my tenacity, is that you can do anything you set your mind to.  It gave me the determination I needed to never give up, go after my passions, and what I needed to get through an especially tough time in my life.  I made sure to pass this one on to my own sons!

    Definitely work ethic. As I raise my kids, I see so many that do not have a clue about how money is earned. It seems many think you just need to show up to work.
