What would you rather do? Stay home and raise your children or work?
would you choose to stay at home and raise your child or children with struggle or work all the time and have some one else raise them or them raise their selves, basically?
Wish there was an easy answer to this. When the kids are young they need you more than anything else but sometimes that is the best time to do something extraordinary at work. What you decide is matter of personal choice.Personally ,I miss working, having my own individuality,a routine and spark that you can excel at work.Plan to pick up soon.technology has given more opportunities to women any many are work from home mums.
I'm so glad I don't have to choose - as I do both. I work from home and raise my sons at the same time, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Although if I had to choose, and was able to afford to do so, staying at home raising my sons instead of working a 9-5 job would win hands down anytime, and I believe especially important when children are still young.
I also do both -- I knew that I couldn't effectively raise my children if I was always stressed about finances, but I also knew that I did NOT want to continue paying a daycare to raise my kids while I worked a job I hated. The only real answer, for me, was to find a way to do both. Now my husband and I are both stay-at-home parents with our third child coming tomorrow (10 days past due date, he's getting his eviction notice ), and my online income is our sole support. There is a way to not have to choose one or the other.
I do both too, I run a home daycare. Nothing wrong with putting kids in daycare, it's hard at first but eventually they get to really enjoy it and they learn a lot too. But I am glad I made the decision to stay home and raise my own kids, and help others raise theirs too.
I've chosen to stay at home and raise my children, though I would never judge someone who chose another path. It all comes down to what promotes the family's health and happiness. If a working mom is going to be the difference between poverty and food on the table, who are we to criticize a woman's choice to work?
On the other hand, women who stay at home choose to make an enormous sacrifice, and should be acknowledged in society as successful working people. Raising children is the equivalent to several full time jobs, with no pay and no bonuses.
It is exhausting and incredibly rewarding. I am glad I chose to stay home.
When I was pregnant I thought I would go back to work in a month or two after I had my baby. This made sense We needed the money. Once my daughter was born I realized I didn't bring her into this world just to have someone else take care of her. For me being a stay at home mom became a priority. I want to be the one who teaches her, helps her grow and learn. I don't want to miss her mile stones, kids are only kids for so long. I want to keep the bond between me and my baby strong. So her father and I have had to struggle a little bit. We have to work a little harder to reach our goals. That is okay with me because I know my child is being taken care of and raised the way we want. Now I work from home part time so we have found a happy medium. It's a personal choice everyone is different I just cant stand the thought of missing out on watching my little girl grow up. I respect any woman who gets a job to support her children because that is still taking care of them just in a different role.
I made the choice a long time ago to quit my full time job to stay home with my kids and I do not regret it for one moment.

Should moms stay home with their kids? I think they should . It's better for the family in my opinion. At least until they are in school full time. The American family is falling apart, and mothers working and dumping kids off in daycare is part of the problem. Absentee dads is also a huge problem...

I am currently a SAHM and really value this role and the opportunity to invest in my children. My three children are all 5 and under, so I thought this was THE most important time to stay home with them. When this phase was over, I was thinking of going back to teaching. (I was an...

Who should be the stay-at-home parent? Mother or father? And why?A good (girl) friend of mine has 2 very young children has just returned to work full-time whilst the children's father stays at home to care for them. As she earns a higher salary I can see it makes sense. It was going well until a...

What made you decide to be a Stay-at-home-Mom or Stay-at-home-Dad?I decided that I didn't want to miss the precious childhood years of my children, loving them and teaching them the only way a mother can. What was your reason?
