Christians: if Mohammed came back to earth would you become Muslim?

A couple months back someone asked atheists if they would become Christian if Jesus came back. I wasn't around for that so I am turning the question on its head to be part of the discussion.

That's bit like asking if Satan come back to earth would I become a Satanist. The answer for me is no.

This is what the Story & The Good Book (the Bible) Says will Happen. When Satan is cast Back all will see this and the whole world will whore after him; as he is proclaimed to be the Lord Jesus returning But further still Satan will Claim to be G

Why? I am a believer in Christ, and that will never change. This question in my opinion is not a logical one.

No I would Not!  For If he came back he would neither be the Son of God  (the only Begotten One the Christ) or God Himself and it is given unto men to walk this world our earth, but once.  Prophets do not contradict each other. They only aid to the clarification of the Prophesies of the Father's Prophets. And Jesus warned us of those that should Follow Him claiming such things as to undo what He the Christ has done It is finish completed with Christ Our Lord Jesus. Emanuel (God with Us).

The same goes for the Prophets of other religions such as the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses. I deem these three to be False Prophets as described. By Christ Himself. And further if any of these Profiteers should come again it wont be as a man, but a spirit claiming to be so. Much like Satan will claim to be Jesus when he is once again cast back unto Earth.

The Story and the Bible as well as the Sacred documents all agree on who the Christ is. We should worship only God And the Son and the Father are One along with the Holy Spirit yet to Come three dominions of time. Eternity the Fall and the New Eternity Father Creator, The Son the Saviour, Father the Redeemer. Three Divisions of Time for those of us who have Fallen.

The question is logical if you are Muslim, and if we flipped it around and asked Muslims the same thing about Christ it would be logical for you and absurd to them.

This is an exercise in objectivity. Not an attack on any faith or belief.

Not sure of you saw my comment, as it was disregarded. If Jesus came back Muslims would still be Muslim. Muslims do not believe that Mohammed will come back, their religion believes Jesus will be coming back, Muslims are waiting for Jesus!

2Co 11:13  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2Co 11:14  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2Co 11:15  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2Jn 1:7  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2Jn 1:8  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
2Jn 1:9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

Quaran says same thing, also says it was written by God like the Bible does. So does this comment for that matter - God.

No "manningnd", the Quaran teaches that Jesus Christ was just a man..NOT GOD.

manningndposted 11 years agoin reply to this

What I meant is that the Quaran says Satan will try to deceive people into not following the true path, which in this case is Islam.

The point is both follow the same path to attract followers. God wrote our book, Satan wrote the other one.

First, for clarification are you talking about Muhammed or Mohammed these are two different people and two different types of Islam, one is Islam the religion, and the other is Nation of Islam and one is more radical then the other. Also, I do not remember Muhammad or Mohammed saying they would come back, maybe I missed something. I would be better equipped to answer with these little clarifications, thanks. Also, Islam follows God/Allah not Muhammad he was given the visions, message, enlightenment. Sorry still confused.

I know he is just considered a prophet (either one), but I am just trying to draw a parallel to the question if Jesus came back would everyone convert to Christianity. We can use Thor instead or any other religious/mythical figure. Nice catch though

Lol, ok I gotcha. Ah nah~! I would congratulate him on his journey, look at him puzzled as to why he came back HERE and go about my day, lol. My faith/spirituality is not based on any myths for me it is deeper than any label, Muslim, Christian, etc.

No. Jesus is alive and well. He has done so much for me that I could never turn my back on Him now. I know my sins are forgiven and I know that I am going to Heaven to be with Him someday when my work on earth is done.

Last time I checked, Mohammed considered himself a prophet.  Elijah would probably be comparable in characteristics and he is supposed to come back according to the Jews.  i very much doubt that he would encourage one to become Jewish as the modern version isn't anything like what he was teaching back in the day.  I wonder if Islam would be able to stand under the gaze of its founder or if another sect would end up being considered more correct and thus the sect he backed.

That being said.  Anyone coming back at all would be a hard sell because they would have to have the approval of Death to come back.  The only individual who is every recorded to have overcome that obstacle is Christ.  If Mohammed could do the same and answer for the testimony of Christ as truth must resonate with truth and must, if it be true fit together without squeak or seem then I don't have a problem adding him to a list of people to seek advise from on doctrinal matters.

It seems that some people entirely underestimate the devotion and faith that Christians have for Jesus Christ. In all respect for other forms of religion, I would have to say that I would remain devoted to Christianity and most people that I know would do the same. When Christ comes back to earth, it will be officially his second coming and it will be a time of a great battle of good against all evil. It will not be a pretty sight. There will be conversions and most of them will be to Christianity.

I am not devoted to Christianity (I know the history past and present, not cute.). I am devoted to God, Yahweh, El, Allah, whatever name you say. For me, conversion is obselete, thats between the individual and God. No one underestimate devotion.

As a Christian myself, I cannot understand how you would think that the prince of peace could do battle? Besides, His second return already happened A.D.70. BTW, I am not devoted to Christianity or the church. I trust in my Heavenly Father.

Absolutely not.   I know that Jesus is Lord, not Mohammed.  God reached down and saved me a few years ago, and I know He is real, and that He loves me and died for me, and I just want to live for Him.   Fact is, Jesus is coming back-the prophecies are coming true all around us.   He is Lord and God.

No I wouldn't. Mohammed was a prophet. He was not a savior. He gave the word of God. The Q'uran has several parallels to the Bible in the way one should live (which is in service to God by being in service to others by helping them)

As A Christian, I would certainly be interested in hearing the reason for his return, but I would still be waiting on the return of Christ that gave his life for my sins

Hi, I just came across this question and was surprised no one had mentioned it, but your question wasn't really correct.
If Mohammed came back, Muslims would be a little confused too, it would probably debunk what their religion tells them believe.
Muslims believe that Jesus will be coming back, they also believe that there will be an Anti-Christ, which they believe Jesus will defeat,  so perhaps the question in the most appropriate context should be:
If Jesus came back to earth and claimed Islam was the truth, would you become Muslim?
