Mm. I stare. It's kinda funny to see their face, they look at their phone, and then look at you.

Not too long ago, I attended my son's wedding.  Some of the people were in the same room and instead of talking to each other they were texting other people who were not there.  So I pulled out my phone and text each of them.  It was funny!  After a bit, everyone started talking...like wow we can converse with our mouths instead of our phones...cool.

I don't do this. Normally I don't text someone when I am in the same room as them. It's called walking over and talking to them with your mouth.

I often text my daughters while we are in the same room! It's fun! My favorite is when I do a group text of my 2 daughters and their husbands at the same time, in the same room. Their look of annoyance as they all reach for their phones is priceless. Being a pest has it's benefits! Great question Julio!

I like to text my husband when we go to a restaurant and he has to use the men's room. I'll wait til I'm pretty sure he's taking care of business and then send him a message. smile The look on his face when he comes back to the table makes it worth it.

I do stare until they get it. Of course the only reason I text someone in the same room as me is when my wife and I are planning our "adult" evening together once the kids go to bed. We do said planning while the kids are also in the room. So there are reasons and circumstances when texting someone who is in the same room is both useful and responsible.
