What are your motivations for writing on HubPages?
State briefly and please rank your motivation in order of importance. You can give up to 5 motivations, e.g.:
1) Build online reputation / marketing purpose
2) Improve writing skills
3) Making additional money online
4) Interest in writing
The improvemeent of writing skills was my primary motovation for hubpages. I love to write not only for myself but for others. Writing helps me form my thoughts, set goals for many areas of my life, and sort through life events. It heals my soul, entertains my mind, and just makes me feel good even if no one else is going to read what I wrote. However, people will have to read what I write. I write to protest bills I feel I have paid, to give instructions to people, to tell people how to do things and to tell my sister I love her. I write for people every day. I want them to understand what I say and not have to spend their time guessing about my meaning. I want to learn to edit better. I enjoy the company of others writers and hope to make some friends, also. As far as making money, well, I wouldn't turn money down but it is not my primary motivation.
1. Interest in writing - I love writing and don't always constantly write. This helps me focus on constantly writing.
2. Making additional money online - College students always need money and I only work part-time.
1. Providing people with accurate information on fitness, exercise, healthy eating, and weight loss.
primarily i just write for the love of it. to share what i know and just to do something i'm passionate with. well, money will come next and that's one helluva bonus!
1. I am learning to be a good writer from experience accrued here
2. I love writing about dogs and sharing my knowledge
3. HubPages are very easy to publish. I used to write for Ezine and it was not that easy to get published there
4. HubPages is well ranked and you get to create a good online brand
5. You make some money writing Hubs

I was just curious for those of you who write for Medium and/or Substack, how your earnings compare to what you make on Hubpages. Do you think it's worthwhile writing for these sites? I look forward to everyone's insight. Thank you.
