Nutmeat! I was raised a vegetarian and to me, chicken, beef and lamb all taste pretty much the same - like rubber!

I would go with beef! it has so many variations from the filet mignon to hamburger. And the hamburger has so many versatile uses from the sandwich itself to casseroles to spaghetti sauce and even sheppard's pie(mashed potatoes and hamburger mixed together).
Steaks can be grilled, sauteed, pan fried, sliced and diced for salads.. the possibilities are endless! So beef would definitely be my choice!

It would be chicken. For one, It is healthy and full of protein if cooked properly. Also, There is such a vast array of recipes for chicken so you never really need to become bored with it.

No, I don't think you could ever get bored of chicken ^_^  It can be seasoned and cooked to taste like many things, I guess that's why everything "tastes like chicken" ^_^

What a tough question - how do you choose between a succulant lamb roast - a beefburger cooked on the bbq  - pork with the crackling cooked to perfection - Bacon on the bbq .... Will keep thinking about this one as those lamb chops were delicious !

Chicken. I love eating chicken in pretty much in any way whether it be roasted, deep fried, or just Chick-fil-A. If I had to eat only one meat, I'd choose chicken.

    1. George Greene Jr. profile image60
George Greene Jr.posted 11 years agoin reply to this

I agree with all but Chic-fil-a!  Their ckicken doesn't taste right to me(neither does the other fasr food fried chicken sandwiches). But yes chicken is as versatile as ground meat as I use a can of chunk chicken if I am out of tuna for casseroles

    2. Mama Kim 8 profile image84
Mama Kim 8posted 11 years agoin reply to this

Ah nice to see you George, I tried to comment on yours, but can't, the option isn't available.
While beef and chicken are both versatile there is a particular flavor that beef has and chicken doesn't. Chicken can be used but will lack some flavor

It would be chicken.  As a child, everything was "chicken", just a different color.  Ham was pink chicken.  Chicken was tan chicken.  Beef was brown chicken and the list could go on.

It is a hard choice for me as I am fond of both chicken and fish! But since you asked only one, I go for fish. I am fond of fish fry cooked with mild spices and lightly coated with breadcrumbs. My mother often made this tasty dish and I enjoyed it very much!

Sorry no. But it is sort of Indian version of British fish and chips! It is marinated with chili powder and turmeric powder (along with little salt) and left aside for 1 hour. Then before frying it on the pan, it is lighly coated with breadcrumbs.

I’d have to say beef! There are so many things you can do with it and contrary to popular belief it is one of the healthiest food choices one can make; it was actually recommended to me by a very renowned heart specialist and who am I to argue with that?? smile

    1. Mama Kim 8 profile image84
Mama Kim 8posted 11 years agoin reply to this

Who could argue with that? ^_^  I think it's the type of beef that makes it unhealthy. Naturally grass fed beef is actually very healthy and much tastier.

Not sure if fish counts as meat, but I love a tuna steak, singed on the outside and basically, sashimi in the middle.
Otherwise, sirloin steak - to my mind, is the tastiest cut.
Funny thing, I notice that not one person has chosen veal... it is interesting to me how few omnivores have an issue eating lamb (effectively a young sheep) but many don't like the idea of eating veal (possibly those huge baby cow eyes evoke more emotion)?

    1. Mama Kim 8 profile image84
Mama Kim 8posted 11 years agoin reply to this

I count it and I have to agree that that is one delicious way to eat a tuna steak!
I have never tried either veal or lamb... I was raised with no red meat and now that I cook for myself I just haven't thought about either of those options.
