When my kids were young, our family would play the game of "Sorry" every weekend. Now that it is just my husband and me, we garden together.

We recently bought the game of 'Sorry' and have started playing that with our two children, ages 4 & 5. We play it Sundays, our day for church, relaxation, and family fun. I hope that they will later remember that with fond memories. For me it's great because it's one of the only fun things, other than watching a movie, that we do together as a family.

We like board games, too. Sorry & Parcheesi are family favorites because even the younger children can play.

We are a family of readers. We all enjoy cozying up in our living room with cups of tea in hand, a fire going and stacks of books to read. Sometimes we read to each other and other times we just sit together enjoying our own books. Helps us get through the long Canadian winters.

When my son was little, we enjoyed playing board games like The Game of Life and Monopoly.  We usually had popcorn and drinks to make it even more enjoyable.  Now, as empty nesters, we enjoy just being home and watching old movies.  Although, we also enjoy working together on projects around the home.

As a kid my favorite activities were always family movie nights (especially if my parents let us have a "snack dinner" - with items like nachos w/ cheese and salsa, chicken nuggets etc. and eat while watching the movie) and board game nights.  Even though we did it at my grandparents and not my house, another favorite was nights when my gramps would put a fire in the fireplace and we'd just sit and enjoy the fire and chat.... the only thing that could've made it better would be winter s'mores!

It's just my boyfriend and myself in our house. But our favorite activity is playing video games. We play a lot of them together. Or we watch our favorite TV shows and movies off netflix.

We enjoy playing Trivial Pursuit. It is a highly competitve game for our family. I don't always get to win (and who would if you have a walking encyclopedia for a husband!) but I enjoy this quality time we spend. The entertainment value I get from watching the competitiveness of our girls as they gang up against their father is tremendous.

We look forward to having a movie night w/ surround sound and popcorn.
We (my husband and teenage daughter) also enjoy watching sports together, esp.college football and the NBA.

We love "dancing in the dark."  We put the lights out, turn on some dancing music and the strobe or glow lights and everyone dances their heart out.  The kids love it.  And since no one can see what you are doing, my husband and I love to join in too!

Fun.  We haven't heard of that.  We do play hide-and-seek in the dark - we turn off every possible source of light (including covering the alarm pad), dress in black and have fun.  The kids have to clear all floors of hot wheels or legos first! smile

I love doing crafts with my kids. We make all kinds of things and it beats playing babies all the time!
