   If someone says the words to you, 'what goes around comes around', how do you respond?
   
   Do you agree? Disagree? Totally dismiss it?
   And, I have heard this stated in different terms as well.

   I agree to a certain extent and I see this as Karma mixed-in with the Law of Attraction. What we intend, we attract. I think there is a saying about: "Live by the gun, die by the gun." This is somewhat similar to your statement, in my opinion.

      I totally agree with you Mr. Happy, it's  almost like the balance of opposites. I do believe that we get back what we put out. Karma is the best word that I could use to describe it.

   Sorry, I do not agree for he who remains at the core of the circle controls all that wheels around it. The  statement "what goes round comes round" is for those who prefer to remain undeveloped.
   
   During progression, you don't wait for what goes round to come round because you have a higher goal to pursue.

    I don't believe in any karmic laws or any notion of fate. I can't believe that life events coming back either to teach us a lesson or balance the moral scales are meaningful in any omniscient way. There is no greater being, there is no universal intelligence behind our human actions.
    
    So the saying 'what goes around comes around' is a modern hollow echo of all those older maxims like 'live by the sword die by the sword' ' act like a pig, be reborn a pig' 'a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye' 'reap what you sow' and so on.
    
    The idea behind this saying is based on superstition. For example, if a male lived a life of crime and violence then was accidentally killed one day by a burglar falling on top of him in the street from a high rise someone might say 'what goes around comes around!' But this event would be one of pure accident and nothing but a coinicidence.
    
    Coincidences arise all the time in life and have the outer appearance of being fateful. In essence they're just random happenings out of our conscious control. The rest of the time everything is under our conscious control. I think?

    I totally agreed. It is like throw a stone in the air and no matter how high it is, it will still come down eventually.
    
    In life, there is Karma & its effect. We are rewarded with merits for the goodness that we can help in doing. For those who had done bad deeds will eventually have their retributions in the end though some may not witness it.

    When I hear the statement "What goes around comes around", I have to agree. It is passed being just a belief because it is science. what goes around literally does come around.
    
    Have you ever gone into a room and been very aware of the energy whether it being good or bad?
    
    This is the same thing. Someone has put that energy out there and you felt the effects from it. If someone puts a great deal of energy into a thought or a feeling, then that is what they put out into the world.
    
    When someone smiles at us, we get a warm feeling inside because they put that out there to send a little happiness our way. : )

    Yes, I agree. Jesus has said similar, but in different words.
    
    This is karma or "live by the sword, die by the sword."
    
    This is also found in Numbers 14:18, traditionally referred to as "sins of the fathers."
    
    The really interesting point of the Numbers passage is that God is "slow to anger," but never lets the guilty "off the hook." But it seems to imply that innocent children pay for the crimes of their great-great grandfather. But it only seems that way, if you do not include reincarnation in the picture. If instead, you have the perpetrator of evil live out their life, die, be born again of the flesh, and grow up to an age where they will appreciate the boomerang they threw 3-4 generations earlier, than you have only the guilty paying for their own crimes.
    
    So, all those people who have murdered and stolen who seem to die peacefully with their riches in tact, will ultimately reap what they have sown, because God is "slow to anger." They will get it in their next incarnation.
