Europe. Mine is Germany. Romania gets too hot. France feels a little stuffy at that time.

Scotland; especially Edinburgh, the capital.  Its beauty is breathtaking, with the Scott Monument, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, and the Gardens.  Even the Queen has her vacations in Scotland.  She either stays in her Edinburgh domicile, Holyrood House, or in Balmoral.

I would have to say Hawaii.  If you're looking for a place that's welcoming, friendly, casual and very, very laid back, Hawaii is the place.  I have been twice: once to Maui and once to Oahu.  I liked Maui better because it "less city" than Oahu which is bustling but still very beautiful.  I enjoy just spending time at the ocean and not doing anything in particular.  Tropical, warm water, great snorkeling and swimming and still has nice restaurants and shops.

I like to go to Saugatuck, MI on the major Holidays. Especially 4th or July Weekend, and Labor day weekend. That's when all the best parties and events are happening, and it usually brings out thousands of people, which keeps it interesting. It's also a great time to go camping, because those weekends also have events planned just for the holiday campers.

I used to love the fireworks on the 4th of July. But, now I skip those for the more fun events. I went to Cedar Point once on 4th of July weekend, and it was lots of fun. Lighter crowds than I expected, and really great weather.

    Hi Carter06,

I live in London so anywhere with open spaces and big bodies of water is great for me. I also like to go somewhere that's consistently hot and either has great scenic views or a lot of history, preferably both.

Southern Europe and around the Mediterranean sea fit the bill, as well as being easily accessible for us in England. The Greek Islands are a great place to visit; I love a village called Sougia in the island of Crete. Another place I'm very keen on is the Port of Soller in Majorca, Spain. I loved the island of Zanzibar (Tanzania, East Africa) when I went there, not so keen on the mosquitoes though.

When I was 4 years old my mother took on a train journey from Port Elizabeth (PE) to Johannesburg (Jo'burg), South Africa by steam train. It was one of the most memorable journeys of my young life. Later my ambition was to travel from Cape to Cairo by train. In those days one could, I'd still love to, but as things are still volatile in some of the countries, I fear I may never be able to achieve that ambition.
I plan to do another African train journey before I 'kick the bucket', but this time it will be either on the famous 'Blue Train' or traveling on the Rovos luxury train.

Last summer we holidayed in Walberwick, in Suffolk (England), it so happened that we had great weather too smile and so had a really lovely time.

I loved Thailand for its wonderful food and friendly people. The beaches aren't too bad either!

I liked Cyprus several years ago. I also like travelling in Europe. It is really nice  and you get from one country to another so quickly.

Cocoa Beach and Orlando, Florida. The beach is beautiful and never has seaweed. Down the street 20 miles is the heart of Orlando with so many things to do.

There's so many, but Miami is my best one so far.
I absolutely love the weather and their gorgeous tropical rain smile

I love to travel just about anywhere, and that would be fantastic!  Closer to home, my favorite destination would be Whidbey Island  in Puget Sound, Washington State.

Isle of Mull off the west coast of Scotland is my favorite summer holiday destination. My family members love to spend the summer holidays here because the location is good and self catering cottages with amazing facilites.

The pristine coastline of Croatia is among the most beautiful in the world – and one of the most unspoilt in Europe. It’s also good value compared to other Mediterranean countries.

    Algonquin Provincial Park.. Ontario, Canada.
It's about a three hour drive north of where I live.. It was Canada's first provincial park, and by far one of thee most beautiful places I've ever been to... Camping is one of my favourite summer activities, and camping in Algonquin is an experience like no other... I could go there every year for the rest of my life and never get sick of it.. It's just so beautiful.
