   Are there any, according to Scripture? Turning away from God is pretty bad, but that can always be changed later by devoting your life to God.
   and of course, Rape and murder are awful, but Jesus forgave a murderer shortly before dying; if someone honestly seeks God's forgiveness, I'm not sure anything is unforgivable to God.

   The only unforgivable sin is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit.  Everything else is forgivable in the eyes of the Lord.  I wrote a hub on blaspheming the Holy Spirit if you want to check it out.  It may answer some of your questions.

      when CHRIST cast out devils, the pharisees claimed HE did it by satans power. claiming GODs power is satans power is blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

   The ONLY unforgivable sin according to scripture is blasphemy aginst the Holy Spirit and it is called the unpardonable sin. "but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin." Mark 3:29 Jesus mentioned this after the pharisees said He cast out demons via satan.

   I think read Mark 3 and we see this concrete made in stone rule. I have some trouble with it but it is so clear that it cannot be twisted, Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit could most assuredly be forgiven by God. God is omnipotent and has no confines. How can one believe in an all powerful God and not believe that He could forgive all sins. But Mark 3 makes very clear that God WILL not forgive this sin. There is no other sin with such a claim. Our only wiggle room as readers, students and children is in the notion of "blasphemy". What does it really mean? Well the scripture around Mark 2:29 make clear what is being dealt with. The accusation that God is the devil. That the good acts of God are attributable to evil.
   I can see and grasp this concept and why it will not be forgiven. This conduct if unchecked would lead to the deception of the children of God. If someone intends to and does do that there just isn't any hope for them here or in the hereafter. No other sin would create such a lasting chasm between God and man.
   We must be ever vigilant to not declare the works of another the work of Satan. It would seem that we would be well advised to avoid others who would engage in such activity. It would seem to me that not even Judas Iscariot went that far.

   There's only one -- to deny the Holy Spirit. "But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation" (Mark 3:29).
   
   This took me 60 years to understand.
   
   But you have to understand what the Holy Spirit is. The Holy Ghost or spirit is the True Self. When we are "in spirit," we are walking with God as His child, made in His image -- non-physical, spiritual and timeless source of creation.
   
   Forgiveness is the repair we all need. If we deny that our True Self exists, then it can never be repaired. In other words, we would be preventing our own forgiveness by "hiding" that which needs to be repaired.
   
   Simple.
   
   And the only way to awaken the spirit is to let go of all self-concern (fear, hate, anger, distrust, jealousy, resentment, guilt, depression, etc), and to put our attention on loving others.
