HubPages can't do anything to change or fix your eBay account info.  That's entirely your responsibility.

What help is that? I still don't know how to load the epn.txt file to the base directory. I may be stupid, and need someone to give it to me in baby steps. Please!?

If you clicked the activate button, you'll see a box where you paste in the code from the epn.txt file.  Then you go back to eBay and hit confirm.

This is the equivalent of loading the file - you obviously can't access HubPages base directory directly as it doesn't belong to you.

Here is what happens when I try that --  "You have not entered your eBay Partner Network campaign id into the HubPages Affiliate Settings Page. Please do that before you try and activate your ePN account."

What is my eBay Partner Network campaign id? Where do I find it?

Thank you for being patient. I appreciate your help.

              Kat

Let me know if you figure it out. I messed it all up when i tried the same process, but they eventually declined after all that.
                eBay tires me so.

I give up. I have no campaign id or the number they want in the affiliat box. Do I just open another account? It's got me where I almost don't care if they approve me or not. Crying big tears here. sad

And yes, I believe they have changed their instructions, because nothing I do is making any difference. I am not a stupid person, and can follow directions pretty well. I did everything I was instructed to do with the same results. I cannot activate eBay Partnership without the Campaign ID or uploading the epndomain.txt file to the base files here. HELLLLLLLP!

I have the same problem too. I've successfully got the domain confirmation already and I was about to enter my affiliate ID from Ebay but  when I tried to log in to copy my code, ebay says my email add hasn't been confirmed yet. I'm still waiting...but I wonder if there's an error or something

Thanks Websclub, I have been trying to undue my own screw-up for two months now but I have been unsuccessful, but I do thank you for understanding the frustration as some people think it's so easy...but to me...it's a mess.

Ariztokat, you are absolutely right. EBay has made some changes to their sign up process that we were not aware of until today. I am in the process of updating HubPages to reflect the changes, but in the meantime you can do the following:

    1. Go to http://hubpages.com/my/affiliate
    2. Enter a fake eBay affiliate code into the box ('5330000000' for example). You will change this later to your real affiliate code, but entering a fake code will allow you to go to step 3.
    3. Click on the "activate" button on the left side of the page.
    4. Paste the unique identifier that eBay gave you into the activation code box and click 'submit.'
    5. If you are told to come back later, then return to step 4 at a later time. Otherwise, continue to step 6.
    6. Click on the Domain Confirmation Page link that eBay sent to you in the email.
    7. Click on the 'Confirm Domains' button on the domain confirmation page.

I apologize for the frustration that these changes have caused.

Thank you Fawntia, I'm going to give it one more try, unfortunately, the email was two months old and aol.com doesn't store them that long so I have no ebay email, I wrote down a ten digit number so I will try it, even if only to get them to reset my account...

Lots of us have had problems with Ebay so I would not count on getting it going. You will be the first I have heard accepted from here if you manage to do it. Would be very interested to see how this plays out.
