    An Albatross In The Room.

Many spent the last four years criticizing President Donald Trump in no small part for his mental state. At this juncture it is necessary we take a serious look at Biden's frequently, confused, irritability, and inability to complete a coherent thought. it's very clear that at this point Joe Biden is experiencing signs of dementia. And it well appears the Democratic party could care less and  Biden is being hidden away from his press corps. I say It's has become clear that the party can not afford to let Joe speak due to his confused state of mind. Biden has decades in the public eye and has a well-documented history of confusing or downright embarrassing gaffes and misstatements. However, it is clear his mental confusion is progressing.

So let's have a look at some of the statements Biden has offered up...

In 2010, at a St Patrick’s Day reception for Brian Cowen, Biden was confused over which of the then Irish prime minister’s parents had passed away. Joe Biden  ---   “His mom lived in Long Island for 10 years or so, God rest her soul,” It was the Prime Ministers' father that died.

In 2012 Joe Biden assured a crowd in New York  "Folks, I can tell you I've known eight presidents, three of them intimately."  Really Joe?

    Fracking Confusion ---

“I never said I oppose fracking,” Biden declared as Trump pressed the former vice president on his opposition to the innovative drilling techniques that have made domestically produced natural gas a ubiquitous commodity. “Show the tape, put it on your website,” he demanded. The president’s campaign quickly obliged, highlighting several instances in which Biden pledged to “move away from fracking,” “phase out fossil fuels,” and “make sure” fracking “is eliminated.”  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4_2ynjacFI
    https://www.commentarymagazine.com/noah … -confused/

On July 2 2020 Joe claimed he" takes cognitive tests frequently"... It would Seem, Joe is either lying or very confused.  Biden  "No, I haven't taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test?" Biden said in an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists. "Come on, man. That's like saying you before you got on this program, you take a test where you're taking cocaine or not. What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?" Confused?

February 08, 2020, in Manchester, New Hampshire.
A young female voter asked Joe Biden on Sunday why voters should believe he can win.

His response was rather unusual, to say the least. He accused her more or less of lying and ultimately referring to her gender as male.

“You’re arguably the candidate with the greatest advantage in this race,” Madison Moore, a college student, said to Biden at a New Hampshire campaign event. “How do you explain the performance in Iowa, and why should the voters believe that you can win the national election?”  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmgWBubpj2s

He responded with this off-the-wall statement ---- “Iowa’s a Democratic caucus,” the former vice president responded.  Accusing the woman of never attending the causes “You ever been to a caucus.” He also referred to himself as "a caucus"  which makes no sense.

When Moore said she had, he responded, “No you haven’t. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier.”

During the 10th and final early-voting state Democratic primary debate, held in South Carolina on Feb. 25, 2020, Joe Biden stated --“150 million people have been killed since 2007″ by guns, which would be half the US population."  https://citizentruth.org/we-need-to-tal … e-decline/

Feb. 17, 2020, Biden while campaigning at an event in Las Vegas, Nevada Joe Biden, claims he was “arrested” in South Africa visiting Nelson Mandela. Fact Checkers found this statement untrue.  https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/biden … th-africa/

At this point, Biden is only using a teleprompter and has not as of yet had a press conference.  It has been announced he will hold one on March 25, 2021.

In my opinion, Biden is experiencing growing problems with dementia. What say you?

Well, Sharlee, March 25 is fast approaching. I will take my chances with Biden any day over the crazed sociopath that was Donald Trump. Do you really think that Trump operated without TelePrompTer?

Trump may be 3 or 4 years younger, but in temperament and the characteristics of those that hold the top job, Biden is a cut above, albeit a low bar to exceed relative to Trump.

I do not know any President that has come close to the threats of prosecution that hangs over No 45. Yeah, He is "unfiltered alright, his pettiness and vindictiveness always comes through raw and clear.

      IMHO, of course...

To simply and honest;y respond --- I am aware that presidents for decades have used teleprompters when giving speeches or lengthy addresses.

My comment in regard to using the word teleprompter --- "At this point, Biden is only using a teleprompter and has not as of yet had a press conference.  It has been announced he will hold one on March 25, 2021."

In my  OP I  was careful when using the word teleprompter, and I felt it was the context I was trying to convey was clear.  Just making an inference that Biden is only using the Teleprompter and not has not as of yet had a press conference. I certainly did not mean to imply other presidents did not use teleprompters.  Only to point out, it has been Biden's only tool to communicate with the public. Do you find my statement non-factual? I also added to be fair, Biden would be holding a press conference.

I never found Trump to show signs of dementia. What I witnessed was Trump freely communicating with reporters without a teleprompter. Again to be honest I find both men to have serious character flaws. I am not willing to measure or weigh the flaws. We are very close to full agreement on the character issue of both men.

And it is factual that Trump has several assorted investigations ongoing in several different states. As of yet, no charges have been filed. I will keep an open mind believing innocent until proven guilty.

If Trump broke any form of law or laws he should be charged and prosecuted as any citizen.  I prefer not to offer a sentence before the crime is proven.

I really like your way of communicating. Straight up interesting, and to the point.

Today President Biden appeared the lose his footing three times as he attempted to unright himself walking up the steps on Air Forse One. Admittedly the steps are steep, and it has been reported president Ford as departing down the stairs lost his footing. However, losing footing is one of the major symptoms of cognitive problems, and bears mentioning due to some of the other symptoms Biden has exhibited.https://nypost.com/2021/03/19/biden-falls-as-he-climbs-up-stairs-to-air-force-one/

March 25, 2021. Biden's first press conference. After viewing the televised press conference I note once again Biden used a number that was very inappropriate to claiming  straight forward very serious stoic voice -- "With regard to the filibuster, I believe we should go back to the position of the filibuster that existed just when I came to the United States Senate 120 years ago."-  Factcheck     https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/biden-120-years/

This put me in mind of his many gaffs where he appeared not to realize the numbers he was stating were hyperbolic. It put me in mind of his gaff at one of the primary debates.

"“It’s not that [some parents] don’t want to help. They don’t know what quite to do: Play the radio, make sure the television… make sure you have the record player on at night.”

It was apparent that Biden showed more serious symptoms of confusion at the G7. No the media in the US did not widely report the several incidences of Biden openly showing confusion. On only need to watch him dazed and confused in an eatery in England actually left behind by all... And then his wife Jill,  rushes in and guides him out of the resturant.

There's definitely something going on in Biden's head that's not good.  I remember when he participated in the vice-presidential debate against Paul Ryan back in 2012, Biden was laughing like a raving idiot throughout most of the debate.  A lot of people agreed with me that Biden's cognitive health was not up-to-par during that debate.

I do remember his very odd demeanor at that debate. But one only needs to search out some of his earlier live videos on youtube to see he has always been cognitively inappropriate.  His health history provides that he had brain surgery twice for aneurysms.
        https://www.nytimes.com/1988/05/04/us/b … urysm.html

It makes one wonder if these surgeries affected Biden's cognitive skills.
In my view, he continually exhibits signs of dementia.

Joe Biden had brain surgery twice due to an aneurysm in the late eighties.

He suffered from nerve pain in his neck in the late eighties, which, according to the New York Times, he thought was due to a viral infection.

In his autobiography, Promises to Keep, he wrote that he passed out from the pain in a hotel room for four or five hours.

He was admitted to a Delaware hospital before he was transferred to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he underwent a six hour surgical procedure to fix an aneurysm that started leaking at the base of his brain.

In May of the same year, Biden underwent a second operation to repair another aneurysm on the opposite side of his brain that was at risk of bursting.

If you haven't noticed the bizarre tendency of the same topic being repeated over and over again then you haven't noticed the same arguments, easily proven false, being used to support partisan positions.

Anymore big business interests groups are driving. Trump was not all bad, he and others had no control on the covid agenda. I've wrote more than 7 post over the covid world order to greatly deaf ears or weak attempts on character assassination with me and others for speaking out.

Not sure of your point, I found the article you posted non-sensical. I posted the Hannity video, not due to Hannyy's opinion. but the footage he provided of Biden in very confused states, at many different occatuons.

I have one concern that is his state of mind. I have no real concern about his physical health, other than he is frail.   I am concerned he is in no shape to do the job of president.  And it's laughable that you would compare Trump's physical or mental health to Biden. Trump showed no signs or symptoms of neither problem.  Biden is frail and is showing every sign of dementia. And the media is .making every attempt to hide his sad decline.

In terms of Trump's health, you're joking right?  Trump exhibited multiple signs of mental health issues and was blatantly a narcissistic sociopath.

As for physical issues - Obesity, dude needing two hands to drink a glass of water, the ramp frailty.  He was the least fit person we've had in the office in the last fifty years, and that includes Reagan's dementia.

All of that was willfully overlooked by his supporters.

Narcissism is a personality disorder that some of the most brilliant persons in the world possessed. I don't see him as sociopathic, it was very obvious he had many people that he cared for, and they cared for him.

You're really reaching using obesity... LOL, I Google claimes 42 % of Americans are obese.  Takes two hands to drink water...
How about  "all men are created ---- you know the thing?" Come on. Biden is a confusing mess.  My Yahoo link proved that...

In regard to the article --   And in regard to Michael Tomasky article, it is his opinion not many care about Biden's press conference.  I could care less about what he sensed at his daughter’s soccer game. Actually, IMO it would see an odd conversation to have a soccer game.  The only thing he got right was the fact that Biden robotically mouths just about anything he says. He is sure to show his confusion at his first press conference.

Yup, just like he did at the debates, which all you righties swore was going to happen because your golden God told you it was so.  Now it's Hannity and Fox News telling you it's so, and you come on here and parrot that talking point like the programmed sheep they want you to be.  Which was what the article was mocking and you continue to double down on.

We've tried to explain to you that Biden's stutter could just as easily be a contributing factor to what you perceive as his confusion.  So your link proves nothing really when you continually ignore his disability.  To some here, it just makes you look like someone who likes to go after the disabled.

And Tomasky is right, not many of us on the left even knew there was a press conference this week. I sure didn't because I know my government is actually working to solve issues for a change and not lie about them and cause over two hundred thousand additional deaths from a deadly virus.

But, no I would not want my children seeing this kind of politicking as good, due to it would seem it promotes winning at any cost. Even using an old man in such a fashion.  I mean even Joe's wife is on board to let the Dems make a fool of her husband... YUCK

Or perhaps that immigrants realize we no longer have a malignant narcissist with sadistic tendencies who violated basic human rights in the Oval Office now, so it's much safer to try and make an asylum claim and escape the violence that exists in their own countries.

Human rights Have you been following the problem at the border?  He is letting people pour in, many not being apprehended, many testing positive for COVID. He has no control over the border whatsoever...

Sure, and I've written my own thread disagreeing with multiple of his policies pertaining to immigration.

I actually agree with the wait in Mexico policy until your asylum case is considered.  I am also in favor of banning citizenship consideration for anyone caught crossing the border illegally.  And I definitely disagree with giving amnesty to those who previously crossed the border illegally - that's a slap in the face to all the immigrants who went through legal channels and sends a horrible message that there will be no penalty for breaking our immigration laws.

But I do not see Biden violating human rights in trying to enforce our current immigration laws, that badly need to be overhauled by a very inept and partisan Congress.

Biden is finding out exactly what Trump did: that our laws and our expectations (demands) are at opposing ends of the spectrum.  That enforcing the laws will NOT produce a result that will satisfy those crying about human rights, and that Congress will refuse, again, to pass laws to solve the problem.

Trump's efforts, at both border and DACA problems, and Congressional inaction to solve either, plainly show this.  Trump made major efforts to force Congress to solve DACA, with the only result being the same amnesty programs for all that have produced the problems we have today.  We'll see if Biden can do any better, given that he has the majority behind him, or if we'll simply see another 4 years of inaction on the part of Congress while millions more illegal aliens enter our country to reside here for the rest of their lives.

I sometimes back had written that the American people had to make a choice between Trump who was almost like Cesar but a dictator but he made or would have made America great. The second choice was Joe Biden who is like Nero who fiddled when Rome burned and the simile is apt to him.
Nobody can deny the connection of Hunter Biden with China and it has already manifested itself in the first two months of Joe Biden's presidency. It was Biden who called for a meeting with China at Alaska and he had thought that he will be able to mollycoddle the Chinese to tow the American line.   The meeting was a fiasco and China bared its claws.  Joe Biden like Obama is likely to sell the American nation. He has already made his priorities clear that Russia is the enemy while China is only a competitor.  Joe Biden has not realized that the China virus was unleashed by the Peoples Republic of China through their laboratory in Wuhan as an experiment to destroy the West and they have succeeded.500,000 Americans have said goodbye to this world because of this virus and yet Mr. Biden doesn't seem to know anything about it. His supporters are jumping with joy at his victory not realizing that it is going to be the death dance of American power.  To top it he has many infirmities and I'm pretty sure he will not complete his term and that will mean that a novice like Kamala Harris will be president. I do not know whether to laugh or cry or cry on this.

The conspiracy is deep with this one.

Pretty sure that was Trump fiddling while 500,000 Americans died of the virus.

And nice job using that racist moniker for the virus and showing us exactly who you are.  Violence against Asian Americans has risen significantly and it's crap like that that is a contributor.

This is the key truth to the matter.

There is a shift happening globally, in politics, in governing, where non-elected international entities are becoming the de-facto powers of authority.

The WHO, IMF, WB, WMO, UN... and a few others people are less familiar with.  These entities will bring forth considerable change to our lives as expressed in their publications, such as Agenda 2030.

Just watched the Biden press conference. No drooling. Coherent replies. He didn't fall before or after. He did lose his train of thought quite dramatically one time. A few other times, he did the typical mid-sentence switcheroo that many people do when speaking extemporaneously.

I'm sure we'll be treated to a video compilation shortly, heavily edited to highlight every little pause or stutter.

I think you give about as positive an outlook as can be given to Biden's display of ineptness.

To be fair however, you are correct that plenty are making their fun of him, one such example below is a more reasonable view:

"News" media has gotten particularly adept at doing that, they went beyond the pale during the Trump years.

Just taking Trump's words and meanings as given were inflammatory enough, the "news" media worked hard to conflate things as much as possible, taking things "out of context" to a whole new level.

This will occur with Biden and be compounded in foreign news sources, especially China, which is confident in Biden being both inept and unfit for the Presidency.

Most of the world may have loathed Trump, but foreign antagonists feared him for a variety of reasons and respected his mental faculties and toughness.

Just saw the show. Love how obvious it was that the questions were hand picked, in advance apparently, to let him know what he was supposed to say.

    What a circus.

I don't understand what is the point in discussing all this now after he has been elected president by the American people. The famous philosopher politician Chanakya wrote that the people get the government they deserve and probably the Americans wanted a man like Biden so he's president. Might as well accept the fact.
