I love this poem and it’s message about the different types of friendship, and what a true friend is. Thank you for sharing your talent in this Misbah, and also Rumi’s poem as well.

Great poem offering food for thought while pondering not only the value of friendship, yet just who is a true friend. That is a little I got from this poem. I liked the idea of a cat's friendship while thought of dogs, which here in the states is considered, "Man's Best Friend". BTW . . . When I saw the Rumi video shared I thought of Manitta44 I think his moniker was. Did he fade away?

For me sharing is for understanding Love I have relied on the work of C.S. Lewis and his treatise on it. With it one of the four Love's in Greek is philia - Friendship.

For a peek look at the following link where the landing page offers a quick view of it.

        Hi Tim,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment. I'm delighted you found it interesting.  smile

Yes, manatita brother loves Rumi. He is a beautiful soul. Yes, his username is manatita44, and he has been away from HubPages for long time. I noticed his most recent comment on a forum thread approximately 7-10 days ago. I am a big fan of his poetry, but he isn't currently writing anything here. I was thinking to send him an email yesterday but forgot. Hopefully, I'll be writing to him today. I miss his poetry and his presence on HP. sad

He was preparing to publish his poetry book. I think many Hubbers have faded away after the comment section has been taken away. HP has taken away the joy of communication from the community. That’s sad.

The link you shared is very interesting. Thank you for sharing it with me. smile

        Blessings always!

Tim, I sent an email to Manatita, and he replied. He was happy to hear you asked about him, and he asked me to convey his regards to you. smile

Loved your philosophical poem on friendship. When considering friends and friendship, this comes to my mind: "Friends in need are friends indeed." I loved Rumi's video as well. Excellent write-up and presentation, Misbah.

Thank you, John, for sharing Misbah's work.

I lost my closest friend two years ago, and I feel that loss every single day.  Misbah's lovely poetry reminds me of how lucky I was to have known my friend for over fifty years, and all of the wonderful memories I have of our time together.

This is a beautiful poem on friendship, Misbah. There are types of friendship that you covered. I like Rumi's poem also. There are many types of friendship to be measured. Blessing and much love for you.

    Thank you John.

Thank you for creating this poem, Misbah. I'm so glad that you brought up the point that humans are animals. Many people seem to ignore this fact. You've raised some interesting ideas about friendships of different types. As always, some of them are thought provoking. Thanks for sharing the article, John.

Thanks for sharing this amazing poem. I think that the main message here is that friendship is based on mutual respect. The poem is really heartfelt and sweet. It gives a feeling that frienship can do miracles and as much as love can overcome everythng.
I have been researching some activities to teach kids respect and I think that this poem would make a great addition.

      Hello Alicia,

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I can't tell you how pleased I am to read your comment. I've been writing on HubPages for a year now. In this one year, I've received beautiful and mind-blowing comments from my fellow authors, who are now more than just friends and I consider them to be a part of my family, but your comment here is an honor for me. smile

For the first time in my writing career, I felt like I am able to help someone with my writing, and what more can a writer ask for? smile

I'm so glad you left a comment  here and informed me that you'd like to use my poem. Please go ahead, and use it for a good cause. Please know that I'll be very happy to help! smile

      Much Gratitude!!

      Sending you Blessings in abundance!!!
