I am winning top writer awards on Medium, so why put up with Hubpages???

Pamela, I'm sorry that HP has disappointed you again. I think that as long as it is featured you will still earn $ for it. But you can also re-publish it on Medium too. It's worth a shot.

Your leaving would be a great loss to HP, Pamela. You are not only writing 'expert' articles on health, but you are prolific. I just want to let you know that I see you-- your value is outstanding, wherever you hang your hat.

I appreciate your comments. I am so frustrated. They have moved 2 other articles off network sites in the past couple of weeks. Am I being punished for complaining about Hubpages?

This one was updated about 2 years ago, but it is an older article.

Hi, Pamela. Don’t give up. Your article is good, but I think some changes could be helpful and get the article returned to a niche site.

Have you updated the article recently? Updating it could be an effective strategy for getting it moved back to a niche site. In addition, linking to scientific or medical sources could be better than linking to a motivational speaker’s website when you are describing processes that occur in the brain and body.

I also noticed that you have described some processes without references to back them up. (Forgive me if I missed the explanations in the references that you included and that I scanned briefly.) For example, you’ve said genes turn on and off based on our experiences and hormone levels change based on our thoughts. I know you have a nursing background, but I think it’s important to support all of these statements with the original and authoritative references.

Sorry this has been happening to your articles, Pamela. I know you are doing very well at Medium, so it may make you wonder why keep writing at HubPages, so the decision is up to you. However, both Linda’s offer good advice.
I would keep your articles here and just republish on Medium as well….just cite the original source in “advanced settings” by setting the canonical link to show where the article was first published. As Medium (internal) and HubPages (external) obtain their income from different sources you can take advantage of both.

I want to thank everyone for their suggestions. I have typically put the sources at the end of the article. I did check them for grammatical errors, and they were fine. I can change the way I handled the sources. I use Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins and other good sources for the medical articles.

It just seems strange that they would more 4 articles off the niche sites within such a short time. I anyone see any other problems, please tell me, as constructive criticism is helpful.

John, I think you have made a good suggestion about moving forward. I have used articles here  for Medium, just changing the titles and some of the words. I have also shortened the paragraphs for Medium as I have read many times that short paragraphs are helpful. I like your suggestions about the canonical link as HubPages should be the external link.

Thank you to everyone for your good suggestions. I still am not happy with HP, as I think people probably don't read much of the article due to all the ads dividing content and popping up.

I've had 3 or 4 moved quite recently, so think they are just doing general housecleaning (raising the bar). When I get some time, I'll add a little more content to each of them and maybe they will get back into the network sites again.

I agree with Virginia, Pamela. You're not being punished by HP, although it feels like it. I just had an article moved back to HP from a niche site last week for the first time. I've also had at least two being chosen for major editing. To be honest with you, I don't really care because I'm so busy outside of HP. I don't have time to take some of the editor's suggestions to make changes. It's just not a priority. I admire all of you over at HP Pub who are writing consistently and doing well on Medium. I barely have the time to look at Medium much less write for the group. So, keeping writing, Pamela, don't let frustrations with HP get in your way. You will make the best decision for you in the end. Just don't let it take your joy for writing.

Thank you for your encouraging remarks, Jan. I eish you had time to join us on Medium, not that it is simple. Itt is still work, but there are no ads running theough our articles.

I agree with John's comment, Pamela. Don't ever give up. Just try to keep them updated. I understand how difficult it is to rework an already evergreen article, but HP is HP. It can ask you to edit a biography for it to remain evergreen; this has happened to me, but I simply ignored it because I didn't know what I could do with anything if the person I wrote about was already dead and dusted. Lol! Although HP is frustrating us all, I believe their only goal is to keep their standards high. Your articles are always excellent, and you are the only author whose medical articles I read, so I believe what you say. But HP will hate losing you. Trust me!
      Much Love and Blessings!

Hi Pammela!  I saw this come across my email and didn
t have the time to write a response back.  I love your writing and don't wish it to be gone either.  I know I left for a while but did not de;ete my account and now am back for who knows how long.  I wrote a few hubs for the past few weeks I wrote.  Things are changing!  It is all messing up now and had to post my last hub because it kept asking me which version I wanted to use.  So I just posted it with what I had.  You mentioned another place you write and I would like to know more about that.  I hope to be able to read more now here and wish my friends who have left would come back.  That is why I came back and was shocked to see what is going on now.  See you soon!

Pamela, I agree with Virginia. Some changes are happening at HP, and as part of those changes, some articles are also being cleaned and edited. So please do not lose heart, and request you to continue writing. I find your articles very insightful and valuable to the community.

Rosina, You always make the sweetest comments. I would hate to not see all of you here. I won't quit now. I probably should not have vented my frustration on here. Everyone is dealing with the excessive commercials and not making comments on the articles. Thank you for commenting.

    Hello Pamela!
Sorry to know about your disappointment with HubPages. I do understand your frustration, as we all feel the same way, for some reason or the other. As it is, I feel less motivated to publish new articles.
You are such a valuable writer that such things should not happen to you. I would request you to keep doing what you do, in the best interests of the readers. Thank you and best wishes.

I very much appreciate your comments, Chitrangada. It is people like you that keep me here, I have not been motivated to write new articles very often either. When I was first on Hubpages we made  a lot more money too. I know many are frustrated for a variety of reasons.
