0Ok, Ok, Ok..... so that is just an incy wincy bit over exagerated.
I'm not releasing a novel through Harper Collins.... but a small and edgy magazine from Fort Myers, Florida, is publishing two of my hubs in print!
Some of you may have seen my thread about being approached by a famous person who would send me free signed photos...... if so, I apologise for not letting you know..... this person was Sir Geoff Hurst.
Any non-British people will need to google this name, but will be able to appreciate his level of fame in the UK after a quick read
Anyway, I am really pleased about the print stuff, is certainly something for my portfolio.... well to be honest it is the start of my portfolio.....

^^^ That is the magazine ^^^ only prints 5000 but it looks awesome and is the type of market I occassionaly target.Sorry for the rant, has anybody had similar experiences to this?
My only conditions were to be posted a free copy of the magazine, for the article to be credited to me by my real full name, and for all publishing rights to be retained by me. That sound ok? Congrats RK

Your requests are more than reasonable. I'll have to get a copy of the magYep Florida sure does rock! But it's also completely massive! This mag only goes out in Fort Myers...... do you know anybody from there? Cos if you don't, then you are just gonna have to read the online version

A lovely lady named Lisa, who is the owner, just emailed me and asked to publish one of my hubs (will state which one when it actually happens!). I said yes, and she then had a read through and asked to publish two more..... one I said yes to one, the other I said no to. She also requested that I write on another subject, which I have agreed to on principle, so I should be in the next issue too if I find the time
Goes to show that having a 'contact' link can really pay dividends..... even if it means regular spam and the odd complete freak, there can be diamonds in the rough
It's good to start small and a slow rise like the moon or sun rather than a flyby shooting star

For credits, it might be better to use your hubs url (or your website if you have one), rather than just your name. Make it easier for people to come and read your other stuff, rather than having to google you (which could land them up anywhere).
From experience, the "worst" thing about being published is the rush of people who come directly to ask your advice on specific things.... it can be overwhelming. That bit scares me so I've usually requested that I am published anonymously

I don't believe the crap that is being published, and stay published.
So far this morning: Forbidden topics with HP and Adsense, Nonsensical, so badly spun, even with the | used for spinning. Another one gives step by step instructions, etc as to how to do some hacking. What is funny? Report a forum post with a link in it and see how fast it...

Hi, obviously I am nowhere near becoming published for anything, I lack the skills, content and direction. But I figured it might be worth getting a heads up. If anyone knows anything about publishing or has been published and has some advice, then it's much appreciated, as always

Listed with Google in less than an hour?
I just did a Hub and looked and it was listed in Google within minutes of being published!I know this happens, but I have seen Hubs take hours, weeks and days to get listed.I did something different, and I will try to duplicate it. IF it works, I'll let everyone know the technique I used.I know it...
