      Thanks Richard.  I started this thread yesterday.  So, technically, my birthday has come and gone now....so my importance has faded a tad....LOL   As I said in an earlier post in this thread, yesterday was not ALL bad.  There was a bit of fun mixed in. 
      
      Just as an FYI....this same cousin called my house this morning at 9 a.m.  I was still asleep because I had stayed up until 2 a.m. last night. My daughter was still asleep as well for the same reason.  My husband, who had gone to bed earlier, was up when the phone rang.  He saw on the caller ID that it was my cousin and he simply answered the phone with "everyone is still asleep" and hung up on her.  She hasn't called back.

   Its unfortunate you had to deal with some family issues yesterday.
   
   From the thread it seems they are attempting to make themselves feel better by making you look bad. If they feel they haven’t spoken to you in a while, they could call you.
   
   You cannot control other people’s actions; all you are in control of is your reaction to what life deals you.  These people can literally suck the life from the room with their negativity.
   
   Don’t allow other people to make a negative impact on your day.

   Thank you Hublim.  They are habitual in their "abuse" but I found it in particularly bad taste to do it on my birthday of all days.  As I mentioned earlier in this thread I had 4 "fights" yesterday.  My mom and cousin were only two of them.  It's all better now though.

   Your cousin sounds a bit toxic...Is she always ready to be so harsh - telling you how to live according to her ideas? Nice, too, of your mother and cousin to wish you a happy birthday! We all have people like that in our lives, I guess, but sometimes they can be a little hard to bear. They can leave a bad taste in the mouth when they go off in full cry.
   
   Let's celebrate you instead, and bad cess to them! Don't give them any more space in your head for now! Many happy returns of the day, KCC - and here's to many more!

       Things were better today.  My cousin even called me this evening to see how the rest of my birthday went and Thanksgiving today.  She acted as if nothing had happened and I pretty much did too.  I really didn't want to rehash anything.
