   So how many more , good hubbers would still be banned ?

      ...is it just malicious reporting or has the tolerance policy changed, and does it have anything to do with why Mark is not evident here?

         'someone' decided to report personal attacks, which aren't that serious by the way.
         PearlD e-mailed me telling me what happened to him.
         I know why he was banned for. It's superfluous
         i'm not saying anything because   PD didn't reply to my e-mail giving me permission to tell.

            That's it. Me neither. IMHO there's no such thing as a banning spree. Even if you get reported, they will first look if you really said anything that's worth a ban before actually banning you.

               sometimes it's a bait.
               These hubbers have been banned for less than other replies in other forums. I've been insulted 10 times worse, but didn't report.
               It's the pettiness of some hubbers that makes you get banned sometimes.

                  Yes, maybe admin should first take a look at who the reporting party is. Paul Deeds said the other day that they had no time to investigate every situation, so most of the time they just look at the reported post. Still, Pearldiver getting banned because of that cleanclover guy is utterly ridiculous. She is not known for being sugar-coated, but is it allowed to express the truth any more, I wonder...

      I think its lame anyone would report any of those guys. you too tantrum, but...well...each person has the opportunity to privately explain thier case to hp hq, via email. Its not like thier entire profile is gone. even if it was, you love em so much, you got thier personal emial? HP isnt actually life..ya know? its a fun distraction or a bit of pocket change..but seriously...Its 3 days no forum...so ...write a hub!!

                     When I said "Obviously, you don't have to post on here to report, since that handy little link is right there", I meant that anyone could click on the report button to report someone else's post, that you don't have to actually be writing posts yourself to report them.
                     
                     My point was that it could have been anyone who reported PearlDiver...just trying to clear that up.
                     
                     Of course, you can open any thread, lol...no need to be touchy!

         I got an e-mail from BloodNLatex and he does have a 3 day ban, why did PD get banned? What is OP? I read on the forums yesterday that Dog had gotten banned and that is so sad to because he did not mean any harm.

   It's actually quite simple.  Just like traffic cops have a monthly quota of tickets to write, forum cops have an annual requirement for bannings.  The year is almost over, and so many of us have been on our best behavior this year....

    Thanks for including me in your banned thread and for expressing just how ridiculous things have gotten in the forums. I really appreciate that. The funniest part about the whole thing is what they actually banned me for. It was for when the two of us were posting in the Last One To Post thread about Smooth being banned. I think they got me for saying 'That °°°°°° got his way.' referring to CleanClover, but never mentioning his name. There is a hundred more offensive things I said yesterday than that, but that is the one I got pinched for. Then I replied back to their email asking them to site the exact post that I was banned for, and they threatened to ban me for life.  Oh well, now I have three days to actually get some work done in the office.

    I read where Paul Deeds clarified how banning is done...yesterday. I haven't read this thread entirely...but I have seen where folks get banned and other folks who completely provoked a "thread bout" walked away...unscathed!
    
    About the forums...don't be reporting folks...if your tail feathers are burning...especially if you the one lighting the match! Man...I would be embarrassed to report anything to HP...that is not critical to the over all welfare of Hub Pages. Save the reportin' for someone who is provoking an intentional attack against you (the: said Hubber) oneselve that will cause the one being attacked loss of fans/followers across the Hub community...because it may be malicious, unfounded, mean, nasty...etc..? In other words...a true attack...not just cause you got your feelings hurt..in a debatable issue!
