How do you create one way back links? Step-by-step instructions please

   I don't understand how to promote traffic on my hub. I've ready plenty of articles,  but they all seem so vague. I'm a newbie to all of this. Thank you for any help.

   You can't "create" one way backlinks.  You get one way backlinks by having people put a link back to your site in or on their site.  Say you write a hub about computers, and someone who has a computer blog reads it, and decides to link to it in an article on their blog.  That's a one-way backlink. 
   
   Two way links are like link exchanges, where each of you  links to the other, but not in an article, but just a link, like a blogroll or list of reference sites.
   
   Social Networking links are also one way links, but they don't have as much clout as links from websites, and they don't rank at all if they come from the same ISP as your site.

      Create your own blog on sites such as blogger and link to your own hub
      
      Actually you can create 1-way back links! You just have to be a little subtle!
      Forums: use your link in your sig and post on relevant forums e.g. if writing about travel post on lonelyplanet.com forum
      
      Do-follow blogs: post on relevant blogs who run the "do follow" plugin which means that google will count the link.  Don't sign yourself "lissie" sign "blue widgets" or whatever your hub is about
      
      Article marketing: write an article and submit it to the major article directories e.g. ezinearticles.com - you get a resource box at the bottom and can link to your site/hub there.
      I am currently using a variation of this where my articles are posted on other people's blogs I mention it on my profile.  I don't recommend this for beginners as its a paid service

   Thank you again, Dafla! All of the stuff on promoting a hub page is so confusing to me. My traffic is so low on hub pages, and most of the traffic is from hub pages. I have not even made a penny with adsense. I'm not with hub pages soley to make money. I enjoy writing. However, the extra money would help.

   Google is cracking down on blogs that link back to their other blogs.  That's why my Frugal Wench blog is only PR 1, because I used it to post blurbs with links to my other sites.  They want quality backlinks, and you are actually penalized for backlinks from the same IP.
