When in Editing mode, and looking at the first Content section that asks for Text, is this content intended to be Static, or Dynamic? Meaning, should it change periodically, and if so, what's a good recommendation in terms of generating $$$ and traffic?
Another dilemma I need suggestions on is how to link to another Hubber pg of mine that recommends books, CD's, and other musical resources.

Google likes fresh content, so updating is a good thing. However once you have a lot of Hubs, it's a big ask to go back and update the text on all of them.
You can give the impression of regular updating by using eBay capsules, RSS capsules and News capsules on your Hub - because they update themselves with new content all the time.
Personally, I recommend you regard the text as fixed, and make it the best you can from day one. I found that over my first few months on HubPages, I did a lot of updating anyway - as I learned how the other capsules worked, where to find better photos and improve links etc. - so my Hubs were being updated quite enough without worrying about the text!
Updating is a great thing. Make sure you attempt to update your Hubs over long periods of time (unless your good at promotion.) If your skills involve Promotion King, then you shouldn't need to update your Hubs, you update your campaign in promoting them. It's really up to you if you break it down.

Linking within hubpages is fine, and can help a lot with keeping traffic within hubpages. If your linking to another hub on the same profile, when you highlight>hyperlink you can now use the bottom drop down menu to quick select your hub.
If your going to link to yours or anyone else' hub in a current hub, use a referral tracker to capture some traffic and hopefully some additional revenue.

Gee Guys & Gals, thanks for all the tips. Tell me if I'm thinking thru this correctly after reading your posts and visiting your own hubs, which were impressive. If I use my first hub that I opened my account with as a home page that tells folks what my overall objective(s) are about, thus keeping it static. Then create links on the Latest Hubs List. Those hubs could either be periodical blogs (Text w/embedded links of various types incl. even YouTube videos), or Amazon.com links to sell CD's, Books, etc that would be dynamic. Am I right so far?
Now, about the Latest, and/or Hot Hub links...I notice they're both highlighted in the text, and in the Latest and/or Hot Hub Links List. So, which one produces the other one, i.e. I'm assuming that when you create the link in Latest Hubs, that it will automatically duplicate itself in the text. Am I correct?
Assuming I'm correct I'm getting stoked about how to start and build.
Tanx Again,

Not quite, Unkle Buck.
You haven't created any Hubs yet, all you've created is your profile. That's your home page. Tell us about yourself, and include links to any other websites that you have.
Now go to the "My Account" page and click "Start a New Hub", and follow the bouncing ball.
HubPages is not a blogging site. Think of HubPages as a huge magazine and your Hubs are articles within that magazine. Write each one as a stand-alone, informative article about a particular subject. If you have some new information on that subject, you don't just tack it on to the end of the Hub - instead, you start a new Hub. You can link Hubs on the same subject using the Group feature.
The Related Hubs box is not under your control, it's an automated HubPages feature that lists other Hubs on the same subject. Latest Hubs and Hot Hubs are also created automatically.
Read all the Hubs about Hubbing by Darkside to understand the technical side of things.
You don't need to refer to a separate Hub for selling - when you start your first Hub, add several text capsules so you can split your article up into paragraphs, then you can insert Amazon and eBay capsules above, below or alongside your text (which looks decorative as well!).
Marissa,
Thanks MUCH for the clarification. It did indeed help. The reason you haven't seen any of my stuff was I wanted to get my ducks and thoughts in a row, so as to not re-create the wheel, and to be able to go ahead and publish some old blogs when I do get ready. Well, I've published my hubs and profile, and I'm definitely stoked, but I wanted to ask about the Amazon.com link. I was hoping someone here could help ASAP
. I went to the help file Hubs provided, but I'm still not sure if I need to put http://hubpages.com/profile/UnkleBuck in the 1st question, or just Hubpages. And what should be the #2 response.

My most recently snipped hub is about a specific product that is not readily available in stores. It used to have an amazon capsule, but that was deleted courtesy of HubPro a while back. Made no sense to me at the time because I've had multiple sales through amazon for that product, but I didn't...

Always be on the look out for new links and content that can be added to your hubs as the more good and quality content you add, then the more traffic you could generate for yourself as an authority on whatever you hub about!I'm going through all of my old hubs and updating them all because I...

First off, my hubs are transferred from Squidoo, and I am aware of various issues there. I'd already checked and edited hubs after the transition, so this is all post transfer. What I don't understand is why some of my hubs get unfeatured after I've edited them? One even got...

I have 4 hubs that are unfeatured, and no matter how I try imporving them, they remain unfeatured. Some of them are high scorers: One of them scored 88 today and yet it is still unfeatured. I can't understand this. Can anyone clue me in.
