1-99 Woodutting Guide 2012 P2P & F2P Runescape - How to get 99 Woodcutting (wc) Guide 2012 in Runescape

Woodcutting belongs to one of the most boring skills in Runescape and to one of the best AFK (away from keyboard) skills. It is also known as wc.
In this woodcutting (wc) 99 guide, I will tell you what to chop, where to chop and what to helpful items to wear. As it can be extremely boring to watch your avatar hit a tree or ivy I suggest you watch a movie or something on YouTube or talk with the other players who are near you.

mbyL's 99 Woodcutting (wc) Guide 2012

1-15: Normal trees (25 xp per log, 97 needed). Places: Lumbridge, Varrock (GE) and Draynor.

15-30: Oak Trees (37,5 xp per log, 534 needed). Place: Varrock (GE).

30-68: Willow Trees (67.5 per log, 8766 needed). Places: Draynor, Barbarian Outpost.
Alternatively, you can also chop yew trees with a level of 60. This way, you earn more money, but it takes a lot more time.

68-99: Choking ivy. This part is by far the simplest one, as you do not get any logs (only bird’s nest and its rewards) and you stay all the time in front of a wall. I strongly recommend you to do something besides to prevent death by boredome.
In average, you make about 77k xp in an hour. But figures up to 110k yp per hour have also been reported.

F2P can't use the ivies. They will have to chop willow trees for the fastest experience rate. Alternatively, they can also chop yew trees. They take longer, but you make a lot more money with them in comparison.

Recommended places

Recommended places: Yanille, Falador walls (my favourite), Varrock Castle and so on.

Useful items that will make you gain more xp in woodcutting

Lumberjack clothing: Wearing the full set will increase your xp per log or ivy by 2,5%.

Strung rabbit foot: This nice thing increases the chance of getting a bird’s nest. This can be some fun if you are training at the ivies and it makes some change and a small surprise and with luck you can even get a good seed.

Dragon hatchet: The dragon hatchet can be used at level 61. It is a lot more expensive than the rune hatchet, but it looks cooler and is much more efficient (10% faster or more) than the rune hatchet. That’s why I strongly recommend you to buy a dragon hatchet.

I hope this guide could help you and give you some ideas.
