Don't know but I do it all the time. I'm not lonely, in despair or planning to take over the world. I think we all talk to ourselves. Surely you talk to yourself in your own head. Its the same thing but some of us just let it out.
Why People talk to them selves? Most talk to them selves to figure out if they are doing is right or wrong in certain situations. It is just like reading out loud it best to understand it better. You can understand it much better, especially when doing homework assignments and figuring out a math problem. Some talk cause there is no one to talk too.
Don't know what a chook is but doesn't sound good! Earnest said you were over the flu, but he may have been playing with his bananas and pets too long. It gets confusing trying to keep them all happy I imagine!
Some chicken soup, a nice massage, and some TLC and you'll be back in the pink in no time!
Oh what a remedy I want in!!!!!! A chook is Aussie for a chicken. Oh my joints are aching, my head is throbbing, I coughed so bad today I think I pulled a muscle in my ribs....oh listen to me complaining...I think BP needs to lay down lol.
One of my ex-boyfriends used to talk to himself all the time, and I thought it was just a harmless habit he'd developed. Turns out he was deeply psychotic. He's the one who nearly battered me into an early grave. My advice, if someone is talking to themselves - keep well clear.
I talk to myselves and they answer me Sometimes we fall out sometimes we get along just fine but we have to talk to each other in order to cooperate and sometimes its not easy being so many people in one day People stare at me make fun of the way i switch personalities even call me crazy but im not dangerous to anyone Like some people think I talk to myself because its my only way through the past I was abused and I have Disociative Identity Disorder I talk to myself and im proud to admit it there was a time when i didnt speak to anyone no one wanted to know that i existed including me now i am talking myself alive with the power of my words
They are coming for both of us!!!!!!!!! Aghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! Where can we run? Where can we hide? (do you have any good hiding seek places in your house) Ohhhh where is Houdini when we need him????
PS, I have a yellow brick road in my bedroom wall, the pic from the original movie, that original movie poster. I have a little collection of 'em, I have an original movie poster from Citizen Kane, too. They're huge, they take up a lot of wall space, it's funny, I think they make the posters smaller now.
Oh Paradise we are off to see the wizard, The wonderful wizard of OZ!!1 Not to mention we are a little off ourselves ROFL!!!!! Oh heck don't have any red clicking shoes, "Bert the lamb get those hot pink heels from out of your little choppers. I will skin you alive.!!!!!"
I talk to myself a lot...It doesn't mean anything, mostly just little mumbles to remind myself of things I might otherwise forget...sometimes the soliloquy takes in anyone who happens to be in the room, and they look askance into my new wine glass filled with new wine...
Yup it reminds me of the night I was rolling down the interstate in my big shiny rig, tired and getting a little sleepy and I was talking to myself and then suddenly someone answered me, and there was no one else with me, hmmm now that's scary, time to put the pills away. lol
There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking yourself questions. Even going as far to sound out the words, so you can hear the question as well.
The thought of the question is not enough sometimes, to bring the answer, so one must hear it in sound form, so something can trigger the recall of the answer from within. If you lack knowledge in that area, then you will not be able to answer the question. If you lack wisdom as well, that will hamper you to answer it too.
I really do talk to myself. I think it's harmless. It's a weird habit, though. Once in a while, when struggling with something on the computer and getting a little exasperated, I can use language not fit for say, a coworker to hear, and have to watch what I'm saying out loud as opposed to what I'm saying to myself...
Sometimes you're right, Cagsil, you have to verbalize the question in your mind in order to put it into conscious context.
what kind of crazy? harmless to talk to yourself, unless you are berating yourself or plotting to overthrow the government or conspiring to kill your cheating husband. if any of that is going on then that may be wrong and dangerous too!
I tend to talk to myself just to work things out. At times, the conversation is going on inside my head and at other times, I have it out loud. It's not that I think I'm some other entity, just that sometimes it helps to say things out loud. Some ideas are easier to sort out that way. On the other hand, I worked with a lady who talked to plants, furniture, cats, and just about anything else she was working with or working on. I admit I've cussed out my computer before, but I've never had a discussion with a plant about how they like their location in my office.
The reason why i talk to myself is because no one ever listens to me! I don't actually talk to myself, I talk to the cupboards, the chairs and the stupid computer when it breaks down, no, that's swearing at the computer! is that the same thing?
I don't never talk to myself cuz there's always plenty of people to talk to. Also there's the dogs, we have the best conversations. I barely even ever come here to the forums to talk to you guys cuz I'm so shy. When you're shy like me, you're even too shy to talk to yourself! no lie.
i talk to myself often-probably because I am the only one that is willing to listen to all the random things that come out of my mouth. Besides that, there is no drama or rumors started about anything I say, if I am my only audience...
awww Yes, but in life-I am often the only one who finds my thoughts interesting and amusing ;D, perhaps that is why I found HP... reinforcement that I am somewhat interesting (even if it is only in the cyber world)
We know the words and most know there is a good movie version that has John Wayne standing there in awe afterwords who said: "Surely this man was the Son of God!" But I ask this question: Why did Jesus Christ...
