Collectable Golden Retriever Souvenirs - Gifts for Goldie Lovers

Updated on March 20, 2011

Golden Retriever Gifts

Golden Retrievers are one of the most popular dog breeds, and there are many people who prefer to have a Goldie over any breed that is out there. If it's not a Golden Retriever, then die-hard breed fans just won't let one in their home. It's crazy, but there really is a breed for every person.

If you have a Goldie lover in your life, you may want to consider one of the following gifts. Cups, blankets, statues, purses, and plates make great gifts for any occasion. These can be personalized in some cases with a dog's name or even a dog's picture.

You'll just want to figure out how much you want to spend and go from there.

Consider having your gift personalized. You may find that it is cheaper to find one seller who can do it all for you, but in some cases, it may be cheaper for you to purchse the cup or ornament and have a local business get it personalized. In some cases, you may be able to embroider the shirt or pillow yourself.

There are many options to choose from, and you'll find that there doesn't even have to be a special occassion.

Golden Retriever Plate

The most popular Golden Retriever gift is probably going to be a collectible plate. These plates are generally the size of a salad plate, but can range from 4 inches to 8 inches in diameter.

You will find that most of the Goldie plates will feature adults and/or puppies in all Golden colors ranging from blonde, white, tan, and red. They will generally come with a holder to mount the plate on the wall.

Plates that feature Golden Retrievers are wonderful gifts. They generally range from $15 and up to over $200. The more collectable the plate, the more you will pay. How much the Golden Retriever plate is truly worth will depend on the artist, design, how it's plated, size, and quantity produced.

Golden Retriever Coffee Cup

Coffee cups are easy to come by and typically pretty cheap. You'll find the Golden Retrievers on the mug will range from puppies to adults and from white to red. If your Goldie lover prefers red Golden Retrievers over blonde ones, then you'll want to make sure that you find a coffee cup with a red Golden Retriever on it.

The mugs generally come in a variety of sizes from your average coffee cup to an extra large. You can even find etched glass mugs.

The price will usually range from about $10 and up.

Golden Retriever Statue

Statues are always a fun gift for Golden Retriever lovers. They generally come in a variety of poses that accentuate the Golden Retriever personality.

The statues range from about 6 inches to over 12 inches tall, and cost from $10 and up. Depending on how the statue is made, the size of the statue, what material it's made from, and whether or not it is painted, the price will vary. You'll find that handmade statues are going to be more costly than production made one, but the handmade statues are going to be more valuable.

Sometimes you'll find collectible Golden Retriever statues that are made of porcelain, versus a cement statue. The cement statues are great for outdoors, versus the glass and plastic statues of Golden Retrievers that generally do better inside.

Whether you're looking for a statue to sit outside and protect the home like a loyal Goldie will or one for the mantel, there are many options to choose from.

Golden Retriever Blanket

Blankets are great to warm up to and they're great to have thrown over the couch or bed. There are different blanket styles, materials, colors, and sizes that you can choose from. And, because Golden Retrievers are very photogenic, you'll find there are many designs to choose from.

The blankets will vary from fleece, cotton, polyester, and other materials, so you can find the softest one that suits what you're looking for.

Although, the price will vary on the material of the blanket, size, shape, and make, you'll find that the price will vary from $20 and up. Most of the Golden Retriever throw blankets will be around $30.

Personalized Golden Retriever Gifts

If you're looking for something more personalized, you may want to consider personalized ornaments, cups, address labels, shirts, door knockers, pillows, magnets, blankets, etc. If you can think it, it can be done. Do not let your imagination fall behind here.

Depending on how much you want to spend, you'll find that your personalized gift will probably vary. But, you'll find that on ebay, you can purchase personalized Golden Retriever gifts for $1 and up.

Your options are truly wide and varied, so when shopping around, consider adding a little personalization to your gift. Have shirts and apparel embroidered, coffee cups etched or stamped, and blankets designed with a picture and name.

Purses and Wallets

A while back dog breed purses and wallets were a huge fad, but that doesn't mean that your best Goldie lover won't appreciate having a purse with her favorite dog breed on it. These are great gifts for young girls and adults. You can purchase matching wallet and purse sets, or you can just purchase whichever design you like the best.

You'll find that the purses are pretty stable and strong. They come in a variety of sizes, as well so that you can perfectly match the person with the purse.
