THE SWEETEST CHILD...

Rachel was born into a well-to-do, prosperous and affluent family. Her mom, when younger, was a beauty pageant that emigrated from Toronto Canada. Her dad was a software consultant, who had connections with Google and Motorola. She was the most beautiful child for that family. She had it all: Big time Christmas gifts, Halloween costumes... you name it. Her Face-Book account had around 1,300 pics that she solely took in the course of 18 months. But let's continue with this fairy tale.

THE SIGNS

All was perfect, but seems that there was a problem. Behind doors this little blonde girl would cry and think the world of the simplest scornful mocking from her school friends. Her ill temper would be hidden with the sweetest smile. Hyperactivity and withdrawal were a sign of ADD/ADHD, but her Parents thought this was part of her development.

Her voice was angelical and would always excel at the Parochial Choir. Mom was a Soprano, who gave up her career after marrying her dad. Life was beautiful, but her brain was on a higher speed level. At times she would get mad at her mom for the simplest mistake. In her teens she was reclusive and fell in love with a young friend from school. He actually broke her heart when he told her that, "you are too pretty for me, and you deserve better."

All along her boyfriend was just hanging in there, and for the first time, she understood that "being pretty didn't pay" Their break up was imminent and she cried for weeks and months. Her mom caught up with her one Sunday morning. Rachel never got dressed to go to church, and all she did was cry on her bed.

Mother's know better and, of course, knew of her pain and thought of a solution: Start her career in modeling. Giving her the exposure at local events and Beauty pageant contests. That really sounded like a God sent idea and Rachel was already 18. She had inherited her mom's beauty and charm. Father eventually agreed, after getting the biggest hug from his only daughter.

Where is the Love for God's sake?

Rachel did manage to become a successful model and with her parent's support, all was...or seemed to be under control. After 3 years, at 21, she opened her own aerobics and Spa complex. She met this handsome trainer, who after talking to her on the phone(she did run an ad, looking for one) decided to join her staff.

MAYBE THIS TIME...?

She started to feel something for him, but was afraid to let him know. Bradley was 24, and already had a girlfriend. "Too bad! He was taken!" said Rachel. She followed the advice from this writer at HubPages: "Do not mess with married or engaged men. You do not need to be the other woman."

She had to let him go after 7 months, because he was also feeling something for her. She used to tease him with her scanty aerobics work-out wearing, but the "other woman had enough."

Still waiting for that love..?

By chance, she met him again on the mall, and he told her that her girlfriend. "which is my ex now," like he replied, was cheating on him all along. Rachel was not ready for him, because she never understood why Brad was in love with 'that bitch.' Rachel gave him her cell number and they decided to see each other on February 14th 2011.

FEBRUARY 14, 2011

LIBERTY STATE PARK

JERSEY CITY

They had been here before, on this bay across the Hudson river. On that time they were talking about business and how to expand the Spa. This time they were free of attachments and had a nice time and rewarding walking, having Manhattan as a view. Rachel wanted to say so many things, and it showed in her smile, but refrained herself. Brad was understanding and took his time as well. They were crossing the line from friendship... into a relationship.

An Invitation to a Wedding...

They were already going out for 6 months, and they were invited to a wedding. On that Church ceremony, she was happy and got bolder. She told him about her dreams on walking down the aisle on a future time. A dream, that in her heart was becoming so real... He knew she was talking about their 'future.' But Brad was not ready, and she noticed it and. yep! got mad at him. In the middle of all, she grabbed his car keys and left him with an uneasy uncertainty. Why did she do it? We think that when a woman is in love with you and... you don't respond to the signs, then get ready for those unexpected 'unfolding' events.

MANHATTAN

AVALON HOTEL

After driving around New York City for 2 hours, Rachel decided she didn't want to go back home and parked under a garage from a Hotel. She had to clean her face that was swollen from the tears. But oh my..! looking for napkins, she found Brad's handgun in the glove compartment. A Berettta 92F. She felt something, and took the gun with her.

On the suite she chose she saw a splendid painting of a couple watching the sunset. Her mind was getting her out of this world. Brad texted her and wrote that, " your parents are worried and if you don't return my car... i will have to call the police..."

She was furious and texted him back: "You don't have to get my parents involved in our own problems. You are such an Ass##, and if you are man enough to handle it, bear with my moody reaction.... Never mind! By the way, I have your gun...and when I finish with it you can have it back. Your stupid car is fine. Bye!"

This was a terrible situation!! Brad went crazy and thought the worst.

IN HER SUITE...

Rachel laid face up on that luxurious bed and all the depression of past years came to her in a second. The gun was on the night stand, and her brain was fighting her. Memories from her past came back and floated with no mercy. Her neurones got tainted with pain, and a final decision was taken in a horrendous split of a second. Her mom's memories made her hold back for a second. But her fingers... grabbed the gun. Pointing on her own forehead, she said the last words: "Forgive me Lord.."

The bullet made the exit from the chamber feeling sorry for her, and there was no way to go back. Sadly she ended her life. There were unknown forces, probably past relatives, that wanted to stop her from doing it, but it was too late.

Knock..knock...

Someone knocked on her suite, and after not getting a response they decided to break in. Security and Brad, who got hold of her, with his car's internal GPS, saw her laying down on her bed. Suddenly, she woke up and was in shock.

Seeing Brad was a surprise. She looked on the night stand and saw the gun. Brad made a quick move and grabbed it immediately, putting it away from her. All she could think was, just to burst into tears and cry like a little girl. He came to her and embraced her. Her worst nightmare was over. Seemed like, when she asked for forgiveness, the tables were turned on her favor. Brad told the service to leave them alone for a few minutes, and they complied.

"Why did you come?" she said. "I know you really don't love me anyway?"

"I want to start all over again Rachel. Would you give us a chance? I don't want to lose you and I finally realized...I just woke up from that limbo. I have had the most beautiful girl in the world by my side and... I never acknowledged it!!" replied Brad, while kissing her and wiping her tears.

"Well, If you buy me that puppy I always loved, the one from that chick flick 'Legally blond,' maybe I can take you back," mused Rachel. "Sure! 'hun', whatever you want..." replied brad mimicking Tom Cruise's jumping on that memorable Oprah's Show.

They kissed and laughed, and we, as her Guardian Angels that stopped her from doing it, elevated ourselves and left the room...
