The Well Held No Water
Happy birthday!
You wonderful child!
I went back to the well,
To get a drink of water.
The only word the well would give,
was "daughter".
The word brought a smile and a tear.
There's a smile of pride, I cannot hide.
There's a warmth, a glow,
That simmers inside.
I gave her life?
Oh, how contraire!
The touch of her hand,
The smell of her hair!
This precious thing,
Came from love.
Oh God, thank YOU!
THANK YOUR STARS ABOVE!
The well holds no water.
The "WELL" holds my daughter.
Happy birthday Josie Lee!
I love you,
your dad,
Micky Dee
I hope that God does keep her wise,
So that she might recognize,
The tears of joy that a father cries,
And see that love in her father's eyes.
I love you Michaela Josie Lee!

This poem, just above was left at McKenzie's hub:
"My Son His Son"
I hope that God does make him wise,
So that he might recognize,
The tears of joy that a mother cries,
And see that love in his mother's eyes.
I just substituted her for his, etc., MD
God bless everybody!
