To Mir With Love!
To Mir With Love
Our reality it seems,
Is all in our dreams.
Did you climb up my tree,
Just to lie here with me?
To see planets like Mars,
In my hammock between stars.
All of my blessings are in disguise
The stars are merely floating in your eyes.
The glow of gold,
Is from your soul.
Your treasure is the pleasure.
That one cannot measure.
What brings you here,
It matters not, my Dear.
My heart roars,
“My heart is yours!”
Once upon a midnight drear,
Let’s just step beyond our atmosphere.
I’ll sing you sonnets,
While we trail behind comets.
Let’s be in the “be here now!”
The laws of gravity we will disallow.
We’ll travel to Mir in those stars above,
We’ll carve initials and, “To Mir With Love”.
We’ll follow the stars,
All the way to Mars.
We’ll skip along our merry Milky Way,
We’ll never speak without something to say.
Sit back you lover of light,
Relax and enjoy your flight.
We’ll see wondrous, astronomical things,
Before stopping by Saturn, for a couple of rings.
And if the night should end too soon,
We’ll stop by the full blown moon,
I’ll show you my Little Dipper,
And maybe take a stab at your zipper.
