   Since I am a morning person, my actual 'best' writing time is in the morning. However I do collect ideas, brainstorm, ponder, consider, and otherwise engage my thinker throughout the entire day. If something inspires me I jot it down on a notepad next to my computer.
   I also jot notes down about additions to make to hubs that I will be editing.

   Evenings are the best time for me to write, once I have finished work, done the household chores and got my daughter off to bed. I normally have around 2 hours free to write then.

   I am a true morning person, yet I am much more creative in the afternoon, especially if I have a busy morning that includes not only exercise, but knocking a project or two. For me, creativity goes along with feeling relaxed and positive.

   Time really isn't a factor for me.  I am more of an emotional writer and sadly, I do my best work when depressed.  At that time it is easier to get those words out and on paper.

   At the moment, I'm doing most of my writing in the morning, usually I'll rest for a few hours, then write for another hour of two in the evening. Overall, I'm a morning person, so I find it easier to write before midday.

   I write whenever I find the time to write and most of that happens in the mid-afternoon to night because I work during the day. Sometimes, though, I'll go into work at night (flexible schedule) and write in the morning. It all depends with me because for me, the minute I start writing the inspiration comes and I can go for hours.

    I am not a morning person and do most of my writing in the afternoons and evenings.  Like pstraubie48, I frequently jot down outlines and ideas for hubs throughout the day.

    I tend to write in the evenings - usually until about 1-2am BST. Got too much to do usually during the day to sit down at the keyboard. Sometimes I get lucky. The daylight hours are best for taking care of outdoor things that could be dicey in the dark! (Like sawing off branches on the tree). Now I've got into the scheme of things, though, it's going to be hard to 'kick the habit'.

    I write much better (or at least it feels better) in the morning when I am fresh.  In the evening I can do research, take notes, retype and edit, but when it comes to all out fresh stuff, the morning is my time.

    I am a night person, so the best Ideas always come at night. I would like to be able to write in the morning, but it is impossible, because my head is so empty in the morning, that the only thing I can do is taking a shower and making breakfast.

    I write best late at night or early in the moring I think this is because theres less distraction

    I am a night owl, i get tired in the evenings and then fro out of the blue my creative min wakes up, it is sometimes difficult syncing the two but, it works if I am not to tired.  Most of my inspiration comes at other times during the day and even in dreams. I believe I am actually asleep now.....oh my clock just went off

    For years mornings were my best times.... from about 4 am to 6:30 am before I started to get the kids of to school and me to work.  Now, I find I do very well from about 6 pm to 10 pm and sometimes from 3 am to whenever.

    I write best deep in the middle of the night, when everything is quiet and serene. Usually from 12AM to 6AM, a nightime novelist.

    Generally, I feel the most productive during the day. Although sometimes when I'm half-asleep in the middle of the night, I come up with the cookiest ideas.

    I would have to say mornings. Especially if that previous night I had a very interesting dream to get the juices flowing. If I ever try to write at night, I somehow work myself away from the keyboard and go make soup or sit outside and play with my cats. I have a very one-track mind.
