Love that image. Got my analytical hat on. Three, four then five syllables, piling up in each line - suggests increase in action of those startled desperate birds. And the alliteration, full rhyme,  - a coming together of fire and flight. Your explanation is useful but all that information could be contained rather neatly in a title. I'm going to stop now. I can't help analysing poetry but need to refrain and relax a bit.

Liking this. I'm getting Hopkins vibes in those opening three lines. QQQ. A queue of Qs, love it. And a bit of Spanish rhythm thrown in iambically. Plus that extra surprise Q just beofre the alliterative end. Must stop analysing, going overboard.

I like that the title is almost as long as the poem. And the poem itself built so sturdily out of silence, paper, and air. The 's' words too, alliteration. So many poetic elements evident in this 10 words.  And the mystery itself of a stranger's wall. Interesting we both picked that 'half' word today (halfway, half-open). Cool Andrew.
