This happened last night at my home as well. I was confused for a moment whether it was the moonlight or the streetlight lol.

So, just a thought, I wonder if it is time to wrap up 10 word Tuesday?
I really didn't expect it to go on this long!
Thanks to everyone who has contributed, and shared here. I've enjoyed it so much, and learned a lot. But I'm thinking it may be time to try something new.
Maybe we could write Sonnets or something. smile
Meanwhile, Poetry month is coming up in April with the 30 days, 30 poems challenge, which is tough.
It would be great to get some feedback.
    Let me know, please.
    Thanks,
    Verlie

Wow, I really thought this would go on forever. This has been a lot of fun.  Personally, I wouldn't want this to end. For me, there are days together when  I hit a road block with my creative writing, but the 10W Tuesday brings the flair back. Of course, we can always start something new, but better be freer than Sonnets .. LOL.

snakeslaneposted 5 years agoin reply to this

Good thoughts Rinita, I love your enthusiasm, and I appreciate your quick reply. What if you started a new chapter of 10 w Tuesday (call it what you like?). That would be one way to keep it going. Right? What do you think of that idea?

        1. Senoritaa profile image82
Senoritaaposted 5 years agoin reply to this

Thanks Verlie and Andrew, but I am not much of a leader. If I start something, I would suffer from more anticipation than I can handle. Like Andrew said, let's keep this for one more week, and then if you wish to shut it down, we should all leave merrily, with heavier bags of knowledge and friendship than we had when it all began. Cheers to poetry, and to friendship!

    2. chef-de-jour profile image96
chef-de-jourposted 5 years agoin reply to this

Thank you for the 10w weekly idea Verlie. It's been fun, it's been a challenge and I think, a success for you and all contributors. I fully understand you wanting to call it a day - why not channel your good energy into something different? Your call, most definitely. As for me, I can't offer much common sense I'm afraid, except to say, what? Oh dear, something's gone missing and that's most inconvenient. My opinion. How rude of me. Hang on.....I would like you, and your/this 10w thingy, to continue for one more week.... and then!? I would probably say, merci beaucoup, it's been great, now adios and move on to other things.
Rinita, I'm with you - this has come out of the blue but I respect Verlie and her decision and everything and if this little venture ends I want to wish you all the best for the future and don't hesitate to start up something new which I would more than likely participate in, probably, possibly.

    3. janshares profile image94
jansharesposted 5 years agoin reply to this

Hey there, Verlie! I have loved the 10w Tuesdays so very much. It's like a little exclusive club in Hubberville. I understand your wanting to change, upgrade, transition, divert, move in a different direction. It makes sense because true creativity evolves; it doesn't stay in one place for long.

So, with that said, I look forward to participating in whatever comes next with you guys. This forum has challenged me to think and feel on the spot and produce. I've often thought, "what if I was putting this effort into a new piece to publish?" Thank you, Verlie, for the opportunity to stretch and bond with you, Rinita, Andrew, RTalloni, and the other club members. smile See you next Tuesday.

This is (was?) such a fun little exercise and small creative outlet. I would vote to continue, but know that it's not always possible to endlessly do what we like. smile Glad to see it's going to go on a bit anyway. Thanks, and best to all, whether we keep it up or let it go.

Thanks both of you for your thoughts, and support. I wasn't suggesting that the 10 word Tuesday "thingy" (love that) end abruptly today. I like the idea of giving it a fond farewell. Lets let it be until next week, maybe we (the Tuesday Poets) will dream up something in the meantime...

    Arriving Home Early

    Racoon on the curtain rod.
    Buttery footprints on the glass.

I've been doing some spring cleaning at the house where I'm staying, and puzzled by footprints high up on the living room window. Then suddenly remembered the story, how Rupert (the dog) 'treed' a racoon up on the curtain rod. The racoon had been coming in through the dog-door, and was caught red-handed (red-pawed) when my friend (and her dog) came home early from work. That was all a long time ago, time to wash the windows!
