Take the time to read John's article about the importance of humor in our lives. The two poems are a delight to read. I fully agree that humor is so important in everyone's life. The quotes included in the article are also very good.

      Hello John!
Interesting article to illustrate the importance of humour and laughter in our lives.
I liked your narration and the two poems! Good doctors always suggest to the patients to be happy, and your second poem makes this point, very nicely, that Laughter is the best medicine.
Great work and thoughtful-- Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Pamela for highlighting this in the forum.

Thank you so much for creating this beautiful hub, dear John. I loved your introduction to the importance of humor. Yes, it is true and I agree with your thoughts that humor is a state of mind and is not the same for every individual. What some people find funny, others are insulted or offended by.  Your words are so true that when we use sarcasm and humor to harm, we abuse the fundamental essence of this wonderful gift. Perhaps this is why some individuals get offended when others say something humorous to them; perhaps the line between offensive and funny is too thin for some to perceive. I agree that sometimes humor can make even the worst and most depressing situations tolerable and that the injection of humor into writing is important smile
I loved your poem 'How Do I Get Out?' I liked how the rat in your poem was so humble; I've never seen a humble rat in my entire life. Lol! I'm sure you haven't seen one either... wait, have you ever seen a rat? You have six cats to catch them. smile
I also liked the quotes by Kala Stevenson and Patrick King.
I truly enjoyed these lines from your second poem:

    "You’ve caught the MORBID-19 bug,

It can’t be cured by any drug.

But I don’t want you to sit and mope,

    There is a simple antidote.”

    So here's some memes:

Take care and stay happy. Keep smiling and thank you for making me smile with your wonderful poems.

Sending you lots of Blessings smile

Misbah, thank you for your very interesting comment. I must admit it has been quite a long time since I have seen a rat, or a humble one at that. Glad these poems gave you a smile, your memes did the same for me. Blessings and take care.

Thank you John for this fun-filled end to the week. I hope your client was pleased with the rat-in-the-barrel verses. I enjoyed them. And, I like your take on "MORBID-19"--I think all of us have been infected. Laughter is the best medicine.
