John..I'd love to find that exotic location for our runaway muses.
    It sounds intriguing.

    Great qoute ny Dalai Lama.

    What a cute video...tonight I need a Happy song.

"Happily Ever After" shows us how we want the one we love to be happy.
In turn,  it makes us happy also.

We all want that fairy tale life where we live happily ever after.

There is drama in life, but you are right...we can be happy more than not.

I'd never seen that video before by Ed Sheeran.

In "What Makes Me Happy" you show us how the simplest things in life make you happy.

Being thankful to be alive, to wake up each morning & share your life with family, and friends.

You love for your words to inspire others. ( trust me...they Do)

To be content and happy, proud of your country & state, enjoying each moment doing what you like, is an honorable life to live.

The chinese proverb is a great way to end this article.
    I love:
If you want happiness for a lifetime ~ help someone else.

    John...
    This article is definitely uplifting.

The way you put it all together with the quotes and videos really makes "Happy" stand out.

    Great job.

I'll post a link in the word prompt article.

Beautiful poems john. I enjoyed reading them. I loved the reasons that make you happy. Life is no fairy tale and to live happily ever after is rare. But to count our blessings and gratitude for what we have gives inner peace which can make us happy. Beautiful quotes and video. An excellent response to Brenda's word prompt. Thanks Brenda for sharing.

Hi Vidya, thank you for your kind words. If we are happy for just the basic things of life anything else is just a welcome extra. Many people have their expectations too high and are constantly unhappy when they don’t achieve them.

Happy can be interpreted in so many ways, and everyone has their own way of feeling happy. But, it’s true that true happiness comes by making others happy.
Your response is inspiring with beautiful words of wisdom.
Thank you for the well crafted poems.
Thank you Raviji for sharing John’s work.

Wow! What a great response to Brenda's word prompt, John. Simply loved it! I especially loved the part where you mentioned fairy tales, Imagine life’s a fairy-tale,.....“They lived happily ever after!”
I also agree with Dalai Lama's quote. It's just morning here, and your poetry was the first thing I read this morning, and it made me smile... So please accept my heartfelt gratitude... I'm sure that I'll have a good day today. Thank you so much for sharing.

Very beautiful poems, Dear John! I admire the way you presented the essence of true happiness through your poems and videos.

Dalai Lama's quote is very meaningful and great.

Most people measure happiness in terms of their material possessions. But, true happiness lies in helping others and seeing them happy.

Greetings, Venkatachari. Yes, as soon as I read the Dalai Lama's quote I knew I had to include it. Material possessions are superficial and do not denote true happiness. Helping others touches something deep inside.
      Thank you for reading.
