      Thanks for sharing.

I'm still wondering how a tree feels.

I wish i could have a conversation with one...thosectree rings tell us how long they have been standing there all alone.

Guess that's why they love the animals & give them a home . .so they are no longer lonely.

Brenda, this is a beautiful account of a tree. I like the message in your poem. He withstands so many changes through the seasons and there are little animals taking refuge inside him. Does he like it all? He stands all by himself and goes through all the changes by himself. Can we be like the tree? I loved the Muslim song for the kids very much. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Rozlin, for sharing Brenda's work.

Yes...can we be like the tree?

I'd love to know his secrets.

I'm glad you liked this one and I just couldn't resist those videos.

I loved the poem, Brenda! What thoughtful questions! We do wonder, don’t we? Just like the tree, we too become witnesses to so many events: changing surroundings, time, and people. It’s so much happening around us and at times we wonder whether we need a buzzing social life or solitude to be in peace with our inner selves. Thank you for sharing Brenda’s wonderful poem with us, RozlinMohsin. Blessings to you all.

      Thanks Farah...
My mind constantly wanders...I try to find that shit off button, but I don't think I have one.

A tree has an interesting life.  It sees so much of ours.

      Take care.

I've always thought if only a tree could talk....I'm sure he has alot to tell us.

      Thanks for reading this one.

      Pamela...
It's hard not to wonder about a tree's life.
      We see them everyday.

We had another bad storm tonight...some trees didn't make it, but my area is okay.

    Hi Brenda!
This is a unique subject for a poem. I loved reading it, and liked the message of the poem.
I do believe, that trees witness everything and everyone around them. No wonder, tree hugging and feeling great solace after that, is a widely accepted belief in many parts of the world.
Thank you for sharing this refreshing poem.
Thank you Rozlin for sharing this in the forum.

      Chitrangada..
No doubt the tree sees so much.  I would love to know everything he's witnessed.

But he gives love snd shelter to so many things...people, animals, insects.  The land.

I can't imagine what he has seen during his long life.
From the time he was a young sapling.

Id love to talk to him

This poem is simple, but sweet. It is such a great idea keeping us in touch with nature. Living among the trees I can relate well.

So beautiful! I enjoyed reading it very much, Bredz.
These lines are so beautiful and they made me stop and reflect:
    "Do you ever tire
    of living this life
    standing in plain sight
    all alone?"
I also enjoyed the videos and the quote by Willa Cather.
Thank you for sharing. Also thanks to Rozlin for posting this discussion.
Lots of Love and Blessings to both of you!! smile

Maybe if we can't create a time machine. ..we can find a way to talk with Mr Tree.

It would be so awesome to learn his wisdom.

Beautiful poem Brenda. The tree is a perfect example of selflessness and unconditional love. It provides so much for others. Shade for people, home for the birds, fruits for all, wood and so on, expecting nothing in return. We have a lot to learn from trees. I am sure they have feelings too. Thanks Rozina for sharing.

Brenda, at this point of time you stand tall and strong like a tree. I now you will and are already doing. This hard time will pass on like a speedy wind. Since hard times are for very short time and easy normal time continues long. You will experience your normal routine days too very soon and will be sitting beneath the tree enjoying the coolness of it's shade. Yes, summers are around the corner but in UAE we are enjoying summers now. It will last until August.
        Take care of yourself
Blessings and lots of love to you.
You are in my mind and prayers.
May Almighty give you lots of strength, courage and speedy recovery..... Ameen (so be it)
