This is another excellent poem by Brenda that tells you the horror of a flood.

Brenda, I think a water main break is a bit frightening. It is interesting that Bubba knew before you. I enjoyed reading this poem, and everything else you shared.

      Pamela...
      I tell you...he's one smart kitty-cat.

I just failed to listen to him.  I imagine he heard something that i didn't...either way...he tried to alert me

It was scary...I'm just gkad i was home and got my truck moved out of harm's way.

I can't count the number of times we went away on vacation & left the truck sit there with no one having a key.

The city tells me if I hadn't moved it...
They would've had to tow it.
      Now that's scary.

They fixed all the issues and the water boil advisory has ended.

They do need to blacktop the road to fix their gravel and small blacktop patch, but I'm told they might not happen until close to winter.

That's fine because when my plumbing gets fixed it might mess it up again.

Bredz, your poetry undoubtedly offers us a great lesson. There are storm clouds in life, but if we pay attention, we can find our way to safety. I'm sorry for the situation you are facing. I hope they'll fix it soon. It's good that it didn't happen during the night. I must say Bubba is intelligent. Lol! I wish I could have a cat in my home as I love cats. My father doesn't allow me to have one because I have asthma. But I do play with my neighbor's cats. They are playful smile

Thanks, Pamela for sharing Brenda's work.

Lots of Love and Blessings to both of you!

I've been allergic to cats since i was young.. but it has never stopped me.

I took a stray in after dad told me if i could get our dog to like it...
      He didn't think i could.

But after alot of scratches, i was finally successful...so he kept his word.

There's just something about a kitty cat that supersedes everything else.

Luckily...my eyes no longer swell up like they did when i was a kid.

Great poem and article, Brenda. A burst water main is scary, but fortunately they got there quickly to deal with it. Lucky it happened during the day, as you stated. One morning I awoke to no water coming from the taps/faucets and found we had a burst water pipe on our property…water everywhere. That wasn’t fun, and I know you still have issues with the plumbing…so  hope that is rectified soon. Good old Bubba too…cats and dogs are much more attune to things than us.
At least all these traumas you are going through are providing interesting content for your poems and writing. Well done.
Thanks for sharing once again, Pamela.

      Thanks John...
I hope the tide turns soon...so i can write some good news stories.

I imagine you had quite a mess with those pipes busted & water everywhere.
I hate those kind of moments.

As for Bubba ( Buddy) he's one great cat.

I wish we could sense things as well as animals do.  They seem to instantly know if a person is trustworthy or not.

This sounds like a scary event. It was interesting to read about Bubba’s reaction. I’m glad the damage was repaired. It certainly would have been a bigger problem if it had happened while you were asleep!

      Linda...
I am blessed that this happened during the day.
I can only imagine what might have happened during the night.

But no doubt, I think my kitty would have insisted I wake up.

It's something you just don't think about ever happening.

Even when I first saw the muddy water flowing...I still thought it must have rained.
I just couldn't figure out how it only rained in part of my area...missing the sidewalk to my house....until I Opened the door.

Now this is one horrible scenario from every day life- the water main pipe bursting out of the pavement! Good that it was fixed eventually by the concerned authorities. I am glad you could move your truck to safety. Bubba is so cute and clever. I loved this poetry based on real life scenes.

Thanks Pamela for sharing Brenda's another wonderful article.

      Thanks Rosina...
It was a real life scenario.

I wish I would've paid more attention to Bubba, but I was busy talking to my company.

Next time...bubba gets my full attention.

Glad you like these type of stories.
