    Hello Brenda!
Beautiful response to your own word prompt, Beginnings. I liked all your poems. I agree with you that to begin again, as we age is slightly difficult. We become comfortable with people and situations and to change and begin and start all over at that particular age can be scary.
Well expressed and thoughtful words. The quotes are wonderful too.
    Thank you for sharing.

I think alot of us are set in our ways & don’t look forward to change.

Wonderful poems Brenda. Each of the verses gives a great message: to adapt to changes and persist until we achieve our objectives. The underlying message of motivation and encouragement is apt for the new year. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks, Chiitrangada, for sharing.

      Thanks Ravi...
      Glad you enjoyed them.

I think most of us keep going until we adapt to change...at least people like me...I'm stubborn and determined.

These poems are a very good response to your own word prompt, Brenda. I especially like the last two, but they are all excellent.

It was a bit difficult to write an acrostic poem for this one.

I enjoyed reading your poems, Brenda.I think they met your challenge of beginnings too. We do get tired of beginning over again. Sometimes just having things stay the same feels so good. I liked each poem, but I also liked the last two the best.

Thanks for posting brenda's poems, Chitrangada.

      Pamela...
      Thank you.

I do think we get tired of starting over...but there are times we have no choice.

I'm glad you liked them...especially the acrostic poem and the last one.

    Hi Brenda,
You did an excellent job creating poems revolving around your word prompt.  Starting over again may not be easy or even welcomed, but it is inevitable as life changes.  You well know that.  May this new year fill your life with sweet surprises.
Thanks Chitrangada for sharing Brenda's post with us. Happy New Year!

Thanks so much Peggy for those good wishes.

We must face changes and start new beginnings regardless of rather we want too.

I hope things are getting smoother for you.

      Take care

I loved your variety of poems based on your prompt and read each of them with great interest. Yes, I like the messages in them and they all apply to us. I loved the quote by Mandy Hale. Not allowing yourself to grow and progress in life is really scarier than change. What an awesome quote! I think I can relate to it. Thanks for sharing your lovely poetry, Brenda.

Thank you, Chitrangada, for sharing Brenda's post.

      Thanks so much Rosina.

I'm so glad you found these interesting.

That quote is a powerful one.
We must overcome our fear and welcome changes.

      Have a great day.

Hi, Brenda. At over 70, this is my daily predicament. I find myself saying, “am too old for that”. It’s a cop out so thanks for the reminder to welcome beginnings as life is such. They’ll creep in, anyway.

      Mary...
      I'm 62 & don't look forward to new beginnings.

I've been set in my ways, but I have no choice.

      Life keeps going.

Thanks for reading & just take baby steps.
