    Hi John,
I am mesmerized once again by your gorgeous poetry. I love the message of the poem. Too much extreme of anything is not good. We must not look down on others, enjoying a lot of wealth and abundance. On the other hand, we shouldn't feel less than, always comparing with others and feeling not good in our skin. We should always be ourselves and enjoy the blessings we already have. Great poetry with a great moral. Loved it all!

Enjoyed the poem. Life is a learning process and in my youth, I was an over achiever, too competitive and experiencing more conflicts. With age and wisdom one can choose or be more their own unique self. And more of a statement man, more cooperative, and more sharing rather than fighting the over competition egos of envy and greed.

Oh yes!  take life not so seriously like Oscar states.....
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh. Otherwise, they'll kill you.

      — Oscar Wilde

Hello, Rosina. Thank you very much for sharing this poem which I feel does have an important message. Your analysis was a very good one and much appreciated. Yes, be ourselves and be content with what we have.

this one of the reasons why i said you're always cool, good message this is the constant struggle and worry of many because they compare and aim to be like others

    Hello John,
    What a wonderful poem!
Your message is well conveyed— Comparisons, competitions, feeling superior or inferior to others, is unnecessary. Being content with oneself is the practical thing to do.
I agree with your observations about the comments by others on your work. That’s sad but true and disappointing.
Keep doing great work, because writers will write, whatever —-.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Thank you Rosina.

What a terrific poem, John!  You relay that message well.  The Oscar Wilde quotes were also good.  We should all try and enjoy what we have without comparing ourselves to others.  We are all unique beings.  As you pointed out, we do not always know the struggles others have, or what influences their decisions.  Working on ourselves is a big enough job!  Thanks for sharing John's poem, Rosina.

    I especially like these lines:
"we only have to love ourselves
    and show our authenticity."
That message never gets old, because we forget it so often. Thanks John, for sharing in such power-packed lines. Good skills and good content! Great as usual!
Thanks for sharing the link, Rosina.
