    Hello John,
This is an excellent poem and I liked the pattern you made with your words. Haven’t seen this before— Brilliant!
Yes, most of the times, things don’t happen, as we expect them to happen. Life is like that.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece.

Thanks for posting John's work, Chitrangada!

I am always in awe when I read your poetry John. Interesting enough when I do come upon a new one shared it hits 'that' spot like this one did. I really enjoyed the music too. I thank the cosmos that it inspired you!

Note to Chitrangada . . . Look into Etheree poems. They form shapes by syllable count. Link next. I have a friend a former HP poet that did double etheree poems. Second link next.

Hello Chitrangada. Thank you so much for sharing the link to this poem.
Sometimes I like to play around with the pattern and shapes that the word form. It takes a bit of rearranging and editing to get the curved shapes but it is a fun challenge. I am pleased you enjoyed it.

Hi, John. I was awe-struck by the shapes of your poems. As Chitrangada mentioned, I too never saw poems like these.

Thanks, Chitra for sharing the link to this wonderful poem by John.

Tim, thanks for sharing some interesting links to Etheree poems.

Hi Venkatachari. I am glad this was something you hadn’t seen before. Sometimes when I am not sure what I am going to write I just like to play around with the length of lines and the shapes I can form with the words, rather than concentrating so much on the writing content. It helps to free up the words.

what i can see from the shape: bart simpson body, a blindfold, a ribbon, wings. sometimes we find our own ways of fun to enjoy more what we love doing and so as not to get burnout. another way to play with words as form of art, great piece.

Gianella, thank you for looking for things in the shape of the poem. Yes, it was fun artistically, trying to create more than just mere words.

What an extraordinary poem, John.  I loved the style and the cool, continuing syllabic verse that shapes the curvature and pattern of the words, and the meaning behind those words that we can relate to.  Very creative. This is not easy to do.  Thank you, Chitrangada, for sharing this.

Keep being competitive and stubborn... That's how we win.

I hate it when problems start piling up that we didn't even cause.

No doubt... You will figure them out.

Thanks for the encouragement, Brenda. No matter how bad things get, we somehow manage to get through it.

Lol, John, you know what I am going to say -- I like the words, and as for the pattern, no wonder people "have never seen anything like it" -- simply because they obviously haven't read any of my poetic scribblings in the last 8 years, where a "pattern" is a regular feature. But, no jealousy here, you will always be the most popular poet on HP -- including your original pattern.
More power to you, old buddy, keep making them and shaping them!

Well, at least even if your day didn’t go well, it didn’t detract from your creativity as you came up with a wonderful poem! You turned lemons into lemonade. Thank you for a very enjoyable read and thank you Chitrangada for sharing.
