Beautiful! I cannot remember the last time that I received a handwritten letter!
My Aunt and I used to write to one another regularly when she lived in Germany for a time.
The ones that I had written to her, in cursive, as a child, were recently returned to me. She is fading fast, and is making sure that old letters and old pictures,  find a home.
      I treasure them!
      Great article.

Hi, Chitrangada. I enjoyed reading your thoughts and memories of handwritten letters. I have a stock of some of those letters in my personal file. They are from my wife and relatives (both postcards and inland envelopes).
Sharing our mutual emotions through handwritten words and phrases was a rare joy. Thanks for reminding those golden moments.

Thank you so much Venkatachari ji for sharing my post in the forum.
It’s one of my earlier published work and I am happy that you took notice of it. Appreciate you for sharing your thoughts here.
Good to know that you have preserved the precious letters of your loved ones. Same here— So many emotions attached with these treasures.
      Thank you and regards.

You are welcome, Chitra. I knew it to be an earlier one. But, don't remember whether I read and commented over it.

Such a beautiful poem, Chitrangada.  Handwritten letters are what we treasure.  I have always loved and will continue to cherish them.  Technology cannot replace the warmth of what we see, feel and read with our hearts, anymore than AI could ever replace the soul of humanity when it “constructs” a poem.  Thank you, Venka, for sharing this.

Thank you Genna for sharing your thoughts and sentiments about the handwritten letters. I have many of them and they are indeed like treasure —one of my precious possession.
I agree with you that technology can’t replace the impact, these handwritten letters have on our emotions.
Appreciate your kind words and support.
Thank you so much. Best wishes.

A wonderful piece, Chitrangada. I always loved writing handwritten letters, now I don’t write letters anymore, but I almost always use pen and paper for my first drafts of articles. Thanks for sharing, Venkatachari.

Thank you John, for appreciating my work.
It’s a nostalgic feeling to open my collection of old handwritten letters by my loved ones.
You are doing the right thing by using pen and paper even in this technological age. We all should make some effort to preserve the art of handwriting.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic.

I think handwritten letters mean so much more to us.  They are indeed like a heartfelt hug.

Not many people write them any more.  I wish I had some to keep.

    Great piece.

      Hi Brenda,
I used to be a regular letter writer and it made me happy when my family members eagerly waited for my descriptive letters.
      Those were lovely days——
      Times have changed, of course.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic.

Maybe I'll start writing letters again.
It might encourage others... I really love hand written notes.

That would be nice. Friends and relatives sharing their feelings and activities through handwritten slips that arrive through postal mail or courier services could be the nicest moments of life.

I don't remember ever receiving letters from a family member.  Only Christmas cards.
I know I wish I had some to look back on, so maybe it's not too late to start.

            I really appreciate this idea.

I know when my late boyfriend was ill, he appreciated receiving cards and handwritten notes from his cousin.

Here, everyone lives close, so no one thinks about this... but I like it.  I'm going to get me some stationary.
