Would you rather be dressed up with no place to go, or have a place to go but nothing to wear?
Dressed up with no place to go. It happens quite often. I have nice clothes, but no place to wear them to.
I think dressed up with no place to go would be better. There's nothing worse than being invited somewhere and not having something suitable to wear. I hate having to shop for a particular outfit and if there is a dress code it piles on the pressure. I'd be happier sitting at home in an outfit that made me feel good even if I didn't have somewhere to go. In fact, I'm off to change into my ballgown and tiara now!
Good question! I like dressing up and putting on makeup even if I have no place to go. Whereas if I had to go to a party and I have nothing to wear, that would be put me in heart attack mode. So, I would rather be dressed up with no place to go
I wasn't sure what, exactly, you meant by "nothing to wear" - but regardless of what you meant by it, that would be a nightmare scenario. I'd choose dressed up with no place to go. To me, not having something appropriate to wear equals not having any place to go.
A place to go but nothing to wear. I need not impress others by my clothes, but appreciate being invited somewhere. BESIDES being in my sixties nobody would care about me being NUDE. Laughter would rule the evening.
My answer wouldn't fall into any category. I won't be dressed up with no place to go because if I have no place to go, I am in a casual state of mind, hanging out in my PJs or shorts. I value not haveing anywhere to go at times. If I have no place to go it is usually my choice. If I have a place to go I will always have something to wear since I have way too much of something to wear which could still be a problem, so it is difficult for me to say which I prefer.
This question is like you didn't prepare for something. I always have something to do everyday, I always find an opportunity for every situation. So when I dressed up I am always ready for anything, anywhere under the sun.
Now if you had to step through the double hatches of a weather porch of an Antarctic base into the freezing weather outside with nothing to wear I think the answer would be obvious. Nothing to wear means stark bollocky! nude! naked! Better to be dressed up with no place to go and stay inside.
However, I doubt that was what the questioner meant. Even so, would it be better to be dressed up with no place to go and to feel embarrassed and misery and yet perhaps meet people who could change your life for the better just by your meeting them?... In Australia we have a saying, "You never know your luck in a big city."
If they were wearing tuxedos and fine ball room gowns and you only had your blue jeans, slip slops and a tea shirt you might look out of place, but any real mental suffering would be on your part, not theirs. And at least they would remember you. You wouldn't be a non-entity.

Would you trade seeing family and friends to live somewhere tropical? You will always be able to visit them but you would be living miles away and not seeing them nearly as much as you do now. Could you handle that?

I used to think I wouldn't do it, but now I do it a lot. I used to get up every morning, have a cup of coffee, shower and do my hair and makeup. I was always dressed, never slouched around in sweats unless I was sick. When I first was left with nothing, no job, the first thing to go was the makeup....

I have always hated the "Got Jesus, better get some or you’re going to hell" speeches with a passion certain religious groups live by. It is not that I don't believe in God, or Christianity, it is just that I believe in a God with common sense. And I can only hope that if there is a God,...
