Why would I vote for Obama?

First off, I'm quite sure Obama's a nice guy.  That's not how I vote.  I happen to be one of those people Obama constantly attacks.  I'm successful.  I have a business.  Two to be exact.  I make a fair amount of money.  I moved out of the city a long time ago (not because I'm racist and wanted to get away from people of other colors, or the poor or gay).  My children have always gone to private school.  I pay a ton of taxes but apparently not enough.

Obama wants to raise my taxes for no other reason than to give the money to someone else.  His policies and regulations have done their best to destroy my businesses.  He claims my success came on the backs of the less fortunate (What a joke.  I was born in Walker Co. Alabama, the poorest part of the state to minister father who got paid in chickens and potatoes).  He claims I didn't build what I have, the government did it for me.  I'm not a racists, homophobe or tax cheat making use of shelters.  My entire family save two individuals have served in the armed forces.  I believe in God.  I own and like guns.  I read the Bible.

Someone want to explain to me why on earth I'd vote for a guy that obviously thinks I'm the problem with this country?

Why are you bothering with this question? You are obviously a committed conservative ideologue, possibly even a Tea Party reactionary. Go ahead and vote for Romney.

You would vote for Obama if:
-you dont want the USA to be great anymore
      -you want higher taxes
      -poor healthcare
-want your money being redistributed to people who didnt do anything for it
-you want open borders with Mexico and Al-Quada
-you want to have your guns taken from people
-you want to be called a racist every other week by the president
      - did i mention hIGHER TAXES
      - you as a taxpayer wish to be insulted as the problem
-you want to live in a Socialist state
-you want abortions to be paid out of your pocket for any and everyone
-Let the racists and liars control the government
-get ready for the thought police
      - if you want to get ready for martial law set up by obama
      -hate freedom
      - you want to be told what to eat and drink and when and how much you can have
-be told your not a good person because you have money
-IF you want HIGHer TAXES- to fund everything but the military
      - you want to be slowly taken over by the Commies
      - if you want to be Europes bitch
      -if you want another Depression
-if you want to become a laughing stock of the world
If you want to see your neighbors put in reeducation camps - by the way there are already such camps being prepared today...
-if you don't like USA and want to "fundamentally transform it"
-want a president and his wife who does not like America
-want a president who wont blame his predicessor EVERY GD DAY he makes a speech
      - if you want a president with a backbone
-if you want a president who does not CONSTANTLY WHILE LIKE A LIL BITCH ABOUT WHAT HE "INHERITED" while making everything worse because the current guy is a community organizer by trade...
To whoever said that quoting Biden Barrack Hussein and Moochelle's direct words is wrong or misrepresented- get a grip you liberal ba$t@rd$ miss quoted and made fun of things W said for 8 years-  give me an F'ing break  you whiny lil bitchy liberal dum@$$e$ sack up shut up ad fix something for a change instead of whining about it and making it worse  Left wing Kool aiders.

Vote for whoever you want to vote for, that's how the system works.

Aside from deliberately misquoting the "you didn't build that" supposed diss on small business owners (so three weeks ago, btw), I don't see anything in your post that would make you think Obama would see you as the problem with this country.

In fact, Obama would like to have more citizens like you.

Just curious.  Can you name the specific policies and regulations that Obama has enacted that "have done their best to destroy" your businesses and tell us how they have negatively impacted your businesses?

Vote for who you like.  It's your privilege.

Tobey, as is his pattern, posts some dubious-sounding drivel, then disappears.  I seriously doubt his claim that Obama's policies and regulations have "done their best to destroy his business," but I would welcome an explanation to prove me wrong.

Because you are tired of freedom!  Perhaps you no longer desire liberty. Independence is a notion you are no longer interested in.  Maybe you hate the United States and want it transformed in to some other nation.  You want to shrug off the yokes of personal responsibility.  You want to hand over the nations sovereignty to a foreign body.   You have hopes that government will regulate every aspect of your life.

Other than that, I don't know.

I feel the exact way about both Obama and Romney! I am so tired of the two party system that can't quite meet in the middle on anything! I feel as if I either have to be super rich or poor to fit in with a party at this point. I will pass on both Romney and Obama!

I'm ashamed to admit, my local media didn't tell me about him! Sadly I must have listened because until now I had no idea who he was.
Now to go see what he stands for!

Tobey:  I have to say I agree with Peeples.  Both these guys are simply ridiculous and the fact that these two parties simply cannot agree on anything is a sad but very loud comment of the state of our country.  I see them both as extremists determined to have their own way without regard for the millions who will suffer at either of their hands.

I don't know what your two businesses involve, nor do I know exactly how big they may be.  However, if you are what's considered a small business owner, you are caught in the middle with the rest of us.  Mega corporations simply do not carry their weight for the burden of costs in running this country.  The poor aren't able to contribute very much either.  So that leaves you and me, and I gotta say...I'm headed into the ranks of the poor.  Not because I'm lazy.  Not because I'm uneducated.  Not because I'm unwilling to do whatever is necessary to pay my own way.  But because I suffered an injury that put a halt on me continuing in the career I always loved.  There are no jobs to be found for people over 50, especially with a physical impairment.  There are no programs to help these people to go another route.  The programs in existence are strictly for those who have absolutely nothing, and whose families have been on the dole since inception.

Let's take cancer for example.  Someone who has health insurance through their employer will be covered initially.  But when they are unable to work, they may be able to get FMLA, but that's only for 3 months.  If they have a bigger battle to fight for their life, they will certainly find themselves without insurance in the middle of that battle.  And that's when they begin to lose everything they've ever worked for.  Medicaid will be extended to them to help with medical costs, but how will they eat?  how will they pay for the roof over their head?  They will have to sell their home and right now the market isn't so good.  They will have to find someone willing to take them in with all their health problems and needs.  They will be left with nothing to show for the entire life they are struggling to save.  The bottom line is that hard educated workers are being reduced to abject poverty before there is anything available to them.  And since so many have been put into such circumstances, those who by the Grace of God have been saved so far, have decided we're all just a bunch of lazy ill-bred bums who need to be pushed into a job.  Really?

Don't you think the situation in this country calls for some action to halt the needless reduction of the middle class?  How about if the "job creators" stop creating jobs for other countries?  How about if the "job creators" start paying fair wages that will afford a living in THIS country.  We don't live in China, or India.  We actually have infrastructure to support such as clean water systems and paved roads.  I'm sick to death of hearing about the high taxes on corporations who pay zero.  Who cares if the rate is 35% when loopholes and incentives allow a reduction to zero?  So if rates are taken to 40 or 50%, that only means they will be actually paying 5-15% if the incentives don't allow for total reduction.  Gee, I'd have loved to only be paying 15% tax on my salary.  If you're a small business owner, you should be happy that the big boys who are quite able to put small businesses out of business, are going to have to start shouldering the burden.  Or maybe you're one of those who have been able to reduce your liability to zero?  It might explain why you feel threatened by the idea of changing the tax for the wealthy.  I find it interesting that in the 50's the tax rate on the wealthy was 90% and yet our economy had positive growth.  The more the rate's been lowered, the worse the economy has become for those not wealthy.

Why not vote for who is best for the country as a whole? Or the least bad if neither of them is "good"? Obama is trying to rescue the country. What would Mitt do bettter or different?

Why is it that every politician who runs for president gets blamed for so much crap. All this stuff about Al-quada, socialism, and communism. Where, and why do people get these ideas in their heads? You do know that the country is run by hundreds of people, and it is their conflicting views that is keeping anything in this country from getting done.

If Obama becomes president again, he will be president for only 4 years, and then we will have the dis-pleasure of going through all this fear mongering and BS all over again. Then what will be your excuse or opinion then? The way this country is run sucks, and it is always going to suck, no matter who is in office, unless we get a congress with enough brains and balls to work together, instead of always going me! me! me! all the time.

This should all be singing "It's my party and I'll whine if I want to." Shut up! and do your job!

Gee I wonder ... could it be the Obama wing of the government does not want to preserve our nation as it was intended so there are people who are not saying "me me me I I I" those words seem to come from the present person in the White House. To which I say he is the guy who didn't want to work with anyone He is the guy who wanted to put forth a form of government that is UNAmerican, anti liberty nannystateism. He is the guy along with his dim witted party members who eventually had to cheat to get their policies installed. Im not saying the Right is full of a bunch of saints but wen given a choice I will pass on more government - on that we both agree.

Why wouldn't you pay a fair amount of taxes? You love your country, you will fight for its well being? Your president is asking you to make an effort to support the U.S,  and you are crying because you will lose dollars that lost their original value! It is interesting how people attack a president that is trying his best in spite of all the pressures. If corporations can overthrow, assassinate worldwide presidents, what about ours? Kennedy was the perfect example, and it was only 43 years ago!

The problem lies in who gets to decide what a "fair amount of taxes" is.
